MT. VERNON — The Fall Fest is underway in downtown Mt. Vernon!
Vendors have set up, food is being served and activities are already started. Entertainment will get underway about 10 a.m. on the main stage on South Ninth Street.
Don't let fears of the weather keep you away. Rain has moved out of the area and the sun is shining. Activities will be held as planned.
The only weather-related concern is at Mt. Vernon Outland Airport. Balloon take-off and Young Eagle rides are on hold waiting for some more clouds to clear out and the winds to die a little, according to Airport Manager Chris Collins. However, there are plane displays and an antique tractor show and the Veterans Reunion is in full swing.
