Mt. Vernon Police Department


Arrests

Carl D. Hardig, 21, of the 2400 block of North Benton Lane, Ina, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. Monday on charges of disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $1,000.

Timothy D. Hodges, 20, of the 900 block of Wescott Street was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Sunday on charges of resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $1,000.

Candy S. Bisher, 37, of the 1400 block of White Street was arrested at 6:18 p.m. Sunday on charges of contempt of court. Bond was set at $9,000.

Perice L. Ladd, 25, of the 3400 block of Nature Trail Lane was arrested at 3:16 a.m. Sunday on charges of domestic battery.

Clarence V. Green, 45, of the 1000 block of Lamar Avenue was arrested at 7:21 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Roy G. Mooreman, 42, of the 200 block of South Second Street was arrested at 12:52 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of stolen property. Bond was set at $35,000.

Clois W. Garner, 49, of the 300 block of Caborn Street was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Saturday on charges of criminal trespass to land.

Brandon P. Carello, 23, of the 1500 block of Centralia Road was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Sunday on charges of contempt of court. Bond was set at $1,500.

Lakesha S. Woods, 22, of the 2500 block of Herbert Street was arrested at 11:31 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving while license suspended/revoked. Bond was set at $1,000.

Robert C. Taylor, 42, of the 300 block of North Seventh Street was arrested at 4:26 a.m. Sunday on charges of criminal trespass to land and manufacture/delivery of 5 to 10 grams of cannabis.

Thefts

A resident in the 300 block of South Second Street reported at 3:35 p.m. Sunday his blue brindle pit bull was missing, and the chain was unbroken.

An employee of Ron’s BP West reported to police at 4 p.m. Sunday that a customer drove away without paying for $45.38 in gasoline.

Police received a report at 7:01 a.m. Monday that a truck had been broken into while at Jumpin’ Jimmies.

A break-in was reported at 7:18 a.m. Monday from County Materials at 700 N. Seventh St.

Police received a report at 11:39 a.m. Monday of an internal theft at the McDonald’s restaurant on Potomac Boulevard.

Incidents

Police responded at 3:55 p.m. Sunday to the 1900 block of Conger Avenue about people in a go-cart driving in the roadway.

A resident in the 300 block of South Fourth Street reported to police at 4:02 p.m. Sunday that children were riding a go-cart in the road.

A motorist southbound on Interstate 57 reported to police at 5:59 p.m. Sunday that a bicycle was on the road, but the owner was not seen. Police moved the bicycle into the grass and notified the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Police received a report at 6:46 p.m. Sunday that a group of people and cars were blocking the roadway in the 800 block of South 22nd Street.

Police were called to the Kmart parking lot twice on Sunday — at 8:25 p.m. and 8:47 p.m. — after receiving reports of youths fighting.

A resident reported keys were lost in the 300 block of Fairfield Road at 9:42 p.m. Sunday.

Police received a report at 11:10 p.m. that a car was scratched while at Wal-Mart.

A resident in the 2300 block of Jones Street reported to police at 11:12 a.m. Monday that a threatening note had been left in a mailbox.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office


Arrests

Charles W. Lowery, 45, of the 18300 block of North Old Salem Lane was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Saturday on charges of violating an order of protection, disorderly conduct and theft. Bond was set at $25,000.

Javontay Tolliver, 24, of Chicago was arrested at 7:21 p.m. Saturday on charges of contempt of court. Bond was set at $7,500.

Thefts

A four-wheeler was reported stolen at 5:06 p.m. Sunday from the 23400 block of East Illinois Highway 15 in Bluford.

Incidents

The JCSO received a report at 4:30 p.m. Sunday that a group of four children on four-wheelers were riding on the main streets of Waltonville.

A resident in the 16500 block of North Illinois Highway 37 reported to the JCSO that her daughter had been attacked by a pit bull and her mouth was bleeding.

Grand Prairie Grade School requested extra patrols from the JCSO at 7:37 a.m. Monday after the third week of returning to school after the weekend to find broken beer bottles in the gravel at the back of the school playground.

A horse was reported as loose in the roadway on North Old Salem Lane at 11:32 a.m. Monday.
