Mt. Vernon Police Department


Arrests

Timothy S. Washington, 26, of the 300 block of Herbert, was arrested at 5:17 p.m. Monday on a charge of driving while license suspended or revoked. Washington was released.

Aileen K. Williams, 53, of the 400 block of South 15th Street, was arrested at 6:31 p.m. Monday on a charge of retail theft under $150. Bond was set at $1,000 and Williams was released.

Antonio Garrett, 31, of the 600 block of South 17th Street, was arrested at 10:21 p.m. Monday on a charge of manufacturing/delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, public high school or park. Bond for Garrett was set at $30,000.

Willie B. Love, 43, of the 1000 block of Gilbert Street, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic battery.

Alfred Ford, 43, of the 500 block of Bell Street, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond for Ford was set at $7,500.

Rita D. Cook, 54, of Macedonia, was arrested at 4:07 a.m. Tuesday on charges of driving under the influence and resisting a peace officer. Bond for Cook was set at $2,000.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office


Arrests

Kendra L. Heck, 38, of the 8500 block of North Reardon Lane, was arrested at 10:12 a.m. Monday on a charge of criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $1,000 and Heck was released.

Kevin H. Brown, 23, of Chicago, was arrested at 2:39 p.m. Monday on a charge of contempt of court.

Sheree T. Harris, 34, of the 14600 block of East July Road, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. Monday on a charge of contempt of court. Harris was released.

Nathan M. Bergman, 19, of the 500 block of Stewart Avenue, Waltonville, was arrested at 2:47 a.m. Tuesday on charges of burglary to a motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property.

Dean A. Dennis, 17, of the 4400 block of North Nason Lane, Bonnie, was arrested at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday on charges of burglary to a motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft

A resident in the 11100 block of East Idlewood reported at 4:25 p.m. Monday that a box of cash was stolen sometime during the past few days from her son’s room.

A resident of the 10900 block of East Davis Road reported at 7:36 a.m. he had five gallons in gas stolen.

Someone from the 6200 block of North Cherryville Lane, Waltonville, reported at 11:42 a.m. Tuesday that someone had attempted to break into his barn.

It was reported to the JCSO at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday that subjects attempted to taken aluminum and copper wiring from a location near the 9600 block of East Bakerville Road. The caller advised the subjects at the time to put the items back, and they did so. However, it was discovered later the items were missing again.

Fire

A hay bale was reported on fire at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday near the 12600 block of North Opdyke Lane.

Incidents

A neighborhood dispute was reported at 7:212 p.m. Monday in the 20100 block of East Saddle Club Road, Belle Rive.

A runaway was reported at 7:21 p.m. Monday in the 17000 block of North Illinois 37.

Two young males were reported to be putting firecrackers in mailboxes in the 12400 block of East Oakton Road at 8:14 p.m. Monday.

Hit and run

A hit and run was reported at 3:08 a.m. Tuesday. It was reported to the JCSO that a vehicle was in a ditch in front of the Mt. Vernon Township Building on North Pumphouse Lane. The driver reportedly received neck injuries and a cut to his head, and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
