Mt. Vernon Police Department

Arrests

Monica L. Davis, 17, of Peoria, was arrested Tuesday at 5:08 a.m. on a charge of retail theft. Bond was set at $1,000.

Taylor N. Catton, 18, of Mapleton, was arrested Tuesday at 4:57 a.m. on a charge of retail theft. Bond was set at $1,000.

Carla J. Moussette, 19, of the 1000 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested Tuesday at 1:14 a.m. on charges of theft and obstructing justice/false information.

Amanda D. Moussette, 21, of the 1000 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested on a charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $3,000 and Moussette was released.

Thefts

Tuesday at 7:14 a.m., police responded to a report of a theft of a large concrete frog in the 200 block of Opdyke Avenue.

Police responded to a report of a theft Tuesday at 4:41 p.m. in the 1100 block of North 42nd Street.

Monday at 10:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a theft in the 1000 block of South 23rd Street.

Tuesday at 2:55 a.m., police responded to a report of a drive-off at the Huck’s Convenience Store located at 201 Main Street.

Incidents

Police responded to a report of trespassing Tuesday at 5:36 a.m. in the 800 block of North Eighth Street.

Police responded to a report of a vehicle egged Tuesday at 8:28 a.m. while it was parked in the 4300 block of Woodglen Lane.

Tuesday at 9:02 a.m., police responded to a report of a brick thrown through the window of the Sensation Station Package Liquor store.

Police responded to a report of property damage in the 900 block of Jones Street Tuesday at 10:59 a.m.

Accidents

Tuesday at 1:34 p.m., police responded to a report of a two-car accident in front of Taco Bell. There were no injuries.

Arrests

Michelle D. Roy, 40, of the 100 block of North Sixth Street, was arrested Monday at 8:29 p.m. on a charge of driving on a revoked license. Bond was set at $1,000.

Melia E. Welch, 24, of Bluford, was arrested Monday at 1:52 p.m. on a charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $3,000.

Incidents

Tuesday at 7:06 a.m., police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of North Main Street in Dix.

Police responded to a report of criminal damage to property Tuesday at 12:08 a.m. in the 15000 block of East Fairfield Road.

Accidents

Tuesday at 4:44 a.m., police responded to a report of a two-car accident at the intersection of East Dix and Irvington Roads.
