Charges Filed:

James M. Fuller, 46, of the 200 block of Cottonwood Drive, was formally charged July 25 with obstructing a peace officer. Records state on July 24 the defendant refused to give a police officer information for identification and attempted to leave the scene.

• James E. Williams, 44, of the 600 block of Airport Road, was formally charged July 25 with domestic battery and aggravated assault. Records state on July 24 the defendant threw a female family member to the ground, causing the victim to injure her wrist; and he repeatedly swung a hammer toward the victim, placing her in a position to be battered.

• Joe D. Buchanan, 35, of the 100 block of South 17th Street, was formally charged July 26 with theft. Records state on July 25 the defendant took a purse and Polaroid tablet from a woman, having a total value of less than $500.

•Joshua R. Williams, 22, of the 700 block of South 17th Street, was formally charged July 26 with obstructing a police officer. Records state on June 22 while an officer was investigating a disturbance the defendant refused commands by the officer to get out of the street and leave the scene.

• Shantel B. Barnett, 28, of the 900 block of South 24th Street, was formally charged July 26 with residential burglary and criminal damage to property. Records state on July 7 the defendant entered a residence in the 1000 block of South 20th Street with the intent to commit a theft and damaged a window at the residence, causing less than $300 in damages.

• Raydeen M. Tapp, 23, of the 1000 block of Shawnee, was formally charged Monday with retail theft. Records state on July 25 the defendant allegedly took numerous items from Walmart, and the defendant has a prior conviction for retail theft.

• Relisa B. Wilson, 32, of the 700 block of Lamar Avenue, was formally charged Tuesday with aggravated battery and obstructing justice. Records state on July 27 the defendant with her fist struck a woman in the face at a local grocery store and provided false identification to police during the subsequent investigation.

• Zalest M. Sronce, 25, Lebanon, was formally charged Tuesday with forgery. Records state on July 27 the defendant fraudulently tried to cash a $596.05 check on a business account.

• Andrew L. Norman, 45, Odin, was formally charged Tuesday with retail theft. Records state on July 27 the defendant allegedly took a Sony camera and a Samsung Galaxy cell phone, having a value of more than $300, from Walmart.

•Billy J. Harman, 33, of the 400 block of North Street, was formally charged Thursday with aggravated DUI and driving while license suspended. Records state on Wednesday the defendant was operating a vehicle under the influence while his driving privileges had been suspended/revoked.

Dispositions:

Victor J. Brooks, 21, of the 1000 block of South 13th Street, pleaded guilty July 26 to a charge of resisting a police officer. He was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and two days in jail.

• Bryan S. Presley, 19, of the 4300 block of Lilac Lane, pleaded guilty July 26 to a charge of criminal damage to property less than $300. He was sentenced to one year conditional discharge.

• Jesse L. Stumbaugh, 24, of the 800 block of North Seventh Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of criminal trespass to a residence, burglary and theft under $300. He was sentenced to 30 months’ conditional discharge.

• Heidi A. Hollensbe, 54, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of resisting a peace officer. She was sentenced to 30 months’ probation and credited with 21 days served.

• Randi C. Frazer, 35, Medora, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of theft under $300. He was sentenced to 30 months’ probation.

• Timmesha M. Heard, 30, of the 1000 block of South 12th Street, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of failure to report annually. He was sentenced to two years to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

• Sarah E. Hughey, 32, Nashville, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to 30 months’ probation with special conditions and ordered to perform 30 hours of public service.

• Michael D. McCluskey, 18, of the 1000 block of South 13th Street, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of burglary. He was sentenced to 48 months’ probation.

•Willie J. Smith, 22, of the 600 block of South Sixth Street, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of possession of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams. He was sentenced to 30 months’ conditional discharge.

• Frank J. Szarek, 43, of the 600 block of South 23rd Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to an amended charge of battery. He was sentenced to 24 months’ conditional discharge.

• Princeton Turner, 37, of the 1100 block of South 22nd Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of failure to report a change of address. He was sentenced to 30 months’ conditional discharge.
