Charges filed:

Callie J. Buchanan, 22, of the 1000 block of South 20th Street, was formally charged Feb. 18 with retail theft. The charge alleges the defendant took various items from Kmart on Feb. 13, with a total value over $300.

n Vernell R. Sanders, 28, of the 900 block of South 23rd Street, was formally charged Feb. 18 with failure to stop after having an accident involving personal injury and/or death and domestic battery. The charges allege on Feb. 13 the defendant failed to stop following an accident in the 1000 block of George Street in which a woman was injured. The battery charge alleges the defendant caused bodily harm to his girlfriend in that the defendant struck the victim with a car and dragged her in the street.

n Jeremy M. Jones, 21, of the 1200 block of South 24th Street, was formally charged Feb. 19 with retail theft and unlawful use of weapons. The charges allege the defendant tool merchandise, valued at less than $300, from Kmart on Jan. 15 and that he possessed brass knuckles, a Class A misdemeanor.

n David R. Rodriguez, 22, Bluford, was formally charged Monday with theft over $500. The charge alleges the defendant took an Apple I-phone, valued at over $500 but less than $10,000, from a female subject and the defendant has a prior theft conviction in Jefferson County.

n Marcelus A. Teasley, 21, Stone Park, was formally charged Tuesday with theft with a prior conviction of burglary in Jefferson County. The charge alleges the defendant took several items, valued at less than $500, from a female subject.

n Robert G. Kackowski, 51, Woodlawn, was formally charged Tuesday with aggravated battery and battery. The charges allege on Feb. 21 the defendant struck a man in the face inside a business in the 200 block of Potomac Boulevard and he threw his wife to the ground and choked her around the neck.

n Martha F. Henry, 45, of the 1100 block of South 12th Street, was formally charged Tuesday with retail theft. The charge alleges the defendant took merchandise, valued at less than $300, from a business in the 500 block of South 10th Street on Feb. 22 with a prior retail theft conviction in Jefferson County.

n Anthony N. Graham, 45, of the 500 block of South 22nd Street, was formally charged Tuesday with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer. The charges allege the defendant shoved a police officer in the chest and pulled away from the officer during his attempt to take the defendant into custody.

Dispositions:

Clayton L. Anderson, 18, of the 2000 block of Richview Road, pleaded guilty Feb. 20 to a charge of theft less than $500. He was sentenced to 30 months of probation.

n Joshua M. Dukes, 38, of the 800 block of South 24th Street, pleaded guilty Feb. 20 to a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge. A charge of criminal damage to property was dismissed.

n Xavier Q. Mosley, 24, St. Louis, pleaded guilty Feb. 21 to a charge of retail theft. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge.

n Jordan L. Porter, 19, of the 2700 block of Jones Street, pleaded guilty Feb. 21 to a charge of retail theft. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge.

n William J. Trowbridge, 24, Bluford, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to two years of court supervision and 200 hours of public service.

n Henry A. Meyer, 36, of the 100 block of Aspen Drive, pleaded guilty Feb. 20 to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and 240 hours of public service.

n Tina M. Fairchild, 47, of the 18000 block of North Old Centralia Road, pleaded guilty Feb. 21 to a charge of driving under the influence. She was sentenced to one year of court supervision.
