Quentin Rinehart, 45, of the 600 block of Perkins Avenue, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Brian Russell, 33, of the 2000 block of Brownsville Road, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Monday on an unspecified Jefferson County warrant.

n Terry Daniels, 30, of the 900 block of South Sixth Street, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Peggy Evans, 39, of the 700 block of South 21st Street, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging failure to appear.


An employee of Walmart reported at 7:30 a.m. Monday her tablet was stolen while at the business.

n A man living in the 900 block of South 24th Street reported at 8:36 a.m. Monday he and his neighbors’ newspapers are being stolen by juveniles in the neighborhood.

n A female subject requested an officer at a business in the 1100 block of Salem Road at 9:51 p.m. Monday, stating someone stole her wallet. An officer stated there were actually two victims, according to police logs.


An employee of a business in the 1000 block of South 10th Street reported at 10:11 a.m. Monday a bullet hole was located in a window.

n A woman who lives in the 500 block of Short Street reported at 1:43 p.m. Monday a relative broke into the victim’s apartment and stole money.

n An employee of Crossroads Community Hospital reported at 3 p.m. Monday they were treating a female who was allegedly battered in the 500 block of North Seventh Street.


A male subject reported he was in the westbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Drive in a vehicle when it was struck by a vehicle coming off the interstate at mile post 94. The victim was taken to Crossroads Community Hospital. Illinois State Police handled the accident investigation, according to police logs.

Brandy Pierce, 31, of the 100 block of North Seventh Street, was arrested at 12:22 p.m. Monday on charges of meth manufacturing between 15 and 100 grams and residential burglary.

n Ronald Cain, 57, of the 900 block of Perkins Avenue, turned himself in at 12:53 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

n Travis Trotter, 19, Opdyke, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Monday on a charge of revoked/suspended registration.


A caller told police at 5:27 p.m. Monday a large pickup truck ran over a mail box in the 14000 block of East Bakerville Road, tore up a yard and threw trash in the yard.
