Arrests

Clinton Camp, 45, homeless, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Friday on a charge of retail theft.

n Christopher Whitlock, 27, of the 2500 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. Saturday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Katy Martin, 24, of the 2500 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Saturday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Brian Russell, 33, of the 2000 block of Brownsville Road, was arrested at 9:41 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Anthony Garrison, 34, of the 400 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Ellen Boyce, 25, Centralia, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated battery and retail theft.

n Ginny Joseph, 28, Ashland, Ky., was arrested at 10:57 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Jason Gaunt, 26, of the 900 block of North Fourth Street, was arrested at 3:24 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

n Tyson Gaunt, 28, of the 1900 block of Broadway, was arrested at 3:34 a.m. Sunday on a Jefferson County warrant charging disorderly conduct.

n Sylvester Stevenson, 18, of the 900 block of Welkins, was arrested at 12:26 p.m. Sunday on a charge of parole violation.

n Eric Beal, 24, of the 500 block of North Seventh Street, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Sunday on charges of battery, criminal damage to property and resisting/obstructing arrest.

n Krystal Johnson, 22, Waltonville, was arrested at 7 p.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated battery of a peace officer and resisting/obstructing an officer.

Incidents

A woman told police at 10:02 a.m. Saturday she arrived at her mother’s residence in the 500 block of South 20th Street and discovered “everything was gone.”

n A woman reported at 2:39 p.m. Saturday her father’s residence in the 1000 block of South 21st Street had been burglarized.

n A woman told police at 4:25 a.m. Saturday her son reported someone shot at his vehicle.

n An employee of the Cozy Inn in the 300 block of South 44th Street reported at 12:12 p.m. Sunday a mirror was damaged in one of the motel’s rooms.

n A caller told police at 6:27 p.m. Saturday someone broke into a residence in the 800 block of South 19th Street. Nothing was believed to be missing, according to police logs.

Thefts

Loss prevention personnel at Kmart told police at 6:17 p.m. Saturday they were in a dispute with an alleged female shoplifter in the parking lot. The suspect fled in a vehicle but was stopped by police a short distance away from the store and taken into custody.

n An employee of King City Liquor on South 12th Street told police at 6:39 p.m. Saturday two females allegedly stole frozen pouches. The women allegedly fled in a southbound direction.

Fire

Fire department personnel were summoned to the Family Dollar store on South 10th Street at 8:25 p.m. Saturday. An employee reported a back room was filled with smoke. Fire officials reported the smoke was due to a faulty microwave.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Christopher Capps, 21, of the 15000 block of East Nolan Road, was arrested at 2:02 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n James Peoples, 72, Aurora, was arrested at 5:19 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence, and driving while license suspended/revoked.

Thefts

An employee of the Foxxy Lady in Dix requested a deputy at 2:52 a.m. Saturday for an employee who allegedly shoplifted from the business.

n A man residing at the intersection of North Cherryville Lane and East Bakerville Road reported at 12:44 p.m. Sunday some tools and a heater were taken from the residence.

Incident

Authorities are investigating a home invasion occurring mid-afternoon Sunday in the 15000 block of East Lakeview Road. Reports state a male subject forced his way into a residence claiming he was there to finish tree trimming work. When the homeowner told the man no such work had been ordered, the man began yelling and threw a bottle of soda at the homeowner. The suspect then left in a vehicle described as a red truck with a ladder on its top.
