Arrests

Alexandria P. Davis, 23, of the 1100 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 11:16 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of retail theft.

n Victoria J. Loss, 31, of the 600 block of South 18th Street, was arrested at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving without a license.

n Alecia R. Soto, 22, of Tamaroa, was arrested at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of retail theft.

n Matthew T. Settle, 22, of Ina, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

n Gregory M. Osborne, 27, of Oakridge, Tenn., was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Tuesday on charges of violation of bail bond, possessing drug paraphernalia, and obstructing identification.

n Cerica M. Barnett, 30, of the 700 block of South 10th Street, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday on charges of retail theft and forgery.

Incidents

A woman informed police at 12:46 p.m. Tuesday she saw a male and female make entry into a neighboring residence by going through a window. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Logan Street.

n A man requested to speak to an officer at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday regarding someone stalking him. One of the instances of stalking had occurred in the 1400 block of South 10th Street.

n A man told police at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday he was walking home on South 10th Street when some male juveniles stole his wallet.

n A caller reported to police at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday there were three male teens walking down the street dressed in camouflage, wearing backpacks and carrying machetes. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Liebengood.

n A male employee told police at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday someone left some drug paraphernalia at a restaurant in the 100 block of Potomac Boulevard.

Thefts

A man told police at 11:13 a.m. Tuesday a yard ornament had been stolen from his residence in the 3200 block of Apple Avenue.

n An employee reported to police at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday a case of shoplifting at a store in the 3400 block of Broadway. Store officials chose not to press charges against the 14-year-old male suspect.

n An employee told police at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday a young female shoplifter had fled the store. The suspect then drove away in a “beat-up” black car. The incident took place at a store in the 3400 block of Broadway.

Accidents

A two-car crash with injuries was reported at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 42nd Street and Rose Lane. The accident report had not yet been completed as of press time and further details on the crash were not available.

Arrests

Corey M. Hastings, 27, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Matthew A. Reed, 47, of the 9700 block of East Illinois Highway 15, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possessing a firearm without a valid FOID card.

n Kellie D. Copeland, 28, of Texico, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of cruelty to an animal.

Incidents

A man told police at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday his brother and father were fighting each other. The incident took place in the 200 block of North Hirons Street in Waltonville.

n A deputy was requested at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday regarding a man who had battered his wife in the 200 block of North Main Street in Dix.

Charles E. Sanders, 68, of Woodlawn, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault.

n Jesus O. Hernandez, 38, of Chicago, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
