Arrests

Jordan L. Rivera, 23, of the 1900 block of South 15th Street, was arrested at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

n Shane A. Hicks, 25, of the unit block of Sunset Drive, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

n Heather A. Feathers, 30, of the 1000 block of Wescott Street, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Eric O. Bird, 35, of the 1000 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer, battery, obstructing identification, and disorderly conduct.

Incidents

A woman reported to police at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday her identity had been stolen. The woman lives in the 900 block of Cleveland Street.

n A woman told police at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday she saw her neighbors shoot a wild turkey and drag it into their house in the 700 block of South 44th Street. An officer spoke to the alleged shooter, who said he was trying to keep turkeys off the property with a BB gun, police logs state.

n A male caller told police at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday he saw two male suspects running through his yard as he was pulling into the driveway of his house in the 1100 block of South 22nd Street. The suspects were wearing dark clothing. The resident reported his TV was damaged.

n A male caller requested officers at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday, saying someone broke out a window in his house and opened his front door. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Benton Road. Some items were discovered missing from the home.

Thefts

The owner of a business reported to police at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday he had a shoplifter in custody. The business is located in the 800 block of Newby Avenue.

Fires

A man reported to police at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday his detached garage was on fire. The incident took place in the 400 block of South 19th Street. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Arrests

John C. Benjamin, 25, of Dix, was arrested at 9:09 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

n Zachary M. Buchman, 36, of the 16500 block of North Illinois Highway 37, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of retail theft.

Incidents

A subject reported to police at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday a window screen on a sun porch was ripped open in the 19400 block of East Illinois Highway 15 in Bluford.

n A female caller told police at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday about a trespassing incident at her residence in the Rolling Meadows subdivision. When the woman left home in the morning, two of her dogs were inside separate kennels in the house and one dog was roaming outside the residence behind a privacy fence. When she got home, however, the outside dog was missing, the two dogs inside were now in the same kennel, and there was a large amount of blood in the bathroom. Police responded and the outside dog was found injured in the house. Authorities believe someone broke in and used a baseball bat on the dog. The perpetrator may have been bitten as well.

Thefts

A report was made at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday about a theft of services that occurred in the 14700 block of North County Farm Lane.
