Charges filed:

Lewis J. Mangan, 18, Ashley, was formally charged on March 25 with unlawful possession of cannabis. The charge alleges the defendant on Feb. 19 had in his possession not more than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

n Kelsey L. Patterson, 19, Dix, was formally charged March 25 with unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor and unlawful consumption of alcohol. The charge alleges on Feb. 22 the defendant had in her possession alcohol and, as a minor, illegally consumed alcohol.

n Alvin R. Gray, 33, of the 1000 block of Gilbert, was formally charged March 31 with domestic battery. The charge alleges on March 28 the defendant grabbed a jacket worn by a woman and ripped it off. Gray has prior convictions of aggravated battery and criminal sexual assault in Jefferson County, court records state.

n Cody W. McLearin, 20, Ina, was formally charged Tuesday with theft over $500. The charge alleges on March 24 the defendant took a gold band ring with an aqua marine stone from a woman.

n Jennifer D. Summerville, 45, of the 100 block of North Sixth Street, was formally charged Tuesday with aggravated battery. The charge alleges on March 31 the defendant punched a woman in the face in a parking lot.

n Tyrone F. Briscoe, 33, of the 1700 block of South 15th Street, was formally charged Thursday with enhanced domestic battery. The charge alleges on Tuesday the defendant grabbed a woman about the neck and face and pushed her into a door. Briscoe has a prior domestic battery conviction in Cook County, court records state.

Dispositions:

Steven C. Allemand, 55, of the 800 block of Park Avenue, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of aggravated driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and given credit for six days served and was placed on conditional discharge for two years.

n Justin R. Shelton, 31, of the 800 block of South 17th Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to an amended charge of battery. He was sentenced to two years of probation. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

n Leonard E. Kirsch, 56, Opdyke, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and given credit for 34 days served and to two years of probation. A charge of violation of an order of protection was dismissed.

n Gregory L. Smith, 38, of the 1700 block of Warren Avenue, pleaded guilty March 4 to a charge of criminal damage to government property. He was sentenced to six months in jail, ordered to make restitution and given two years of probation. Charges of knowingly damaging property less than $300 and violation of an order of protection were dismissed.

n Justin R. Shelton, 31, of the 1500 block of Perkins Avenue, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to two years of probation. A charge of aggravated domestic battery was dismissed.

n John K. Cavender, 23, Woodlawn, pleaded guilty Tuesday to an amended charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge.

n Ronald E. Heil, 59, McLeansboro, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of reckless conduct. He was sentenced to one year of court supervision. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and driving under the influence were dismissed.

n Devon D. Beasley, 23, of the 1700 block of Main Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of theft less than $300. He was sentenced to 30 months of conditional discharge.

n Michael E. Ongalo, 45, of the 600 block of South 15th Street, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of theft of labor services. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge.

n Jaime L. Finckbone, 19, Salem, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of driving under the influence. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months of court supervision and ordered to perform 100 hours of public service.

n Lisa A. Curtis, 47, of the 600 block of Salem Road, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of driving under the influence. She was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and ordered to perform 240 hours of public service.

n Quincy L. Scarbrough, 51, of the 200 block of Wagner Road, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months of court supervision.

n Travis Arnold, 31, Louisville, pleaded guilty March 27 to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months of court supervision.

n A charge of possession of a meth precursor without a prescription was dismissed against Jessica E. Cermak, 31, of the 800 block of Taylor Avenue, on Wednesday.

n Prosecutors on Tuesday dropped a possession of a controlled substance charge against Nykeyda S. Porter, 32, of the 700 block of South 22nd Street.
