Arrests

Chaska Ricker, 18, of the 2000 block of Richview Road, was arrested at 9:17 a.m. Friday on a charge of parole violation.

n David Tyson, 34, of the 1100 block of Jones, was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Friday on a charge of violating the sex registry.

n Anthony Garrison, 34, of the 400 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n David B. Moore, 23, of the 600 block of Oak, was arrested at 5 a.m. Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Joseph Laur, 22, Waltonville, was arrested at 9:41 a.m. Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n John Fowler, 38, of the 1200 block of South 26th Street, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. Sunday on charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a blackjack/knife.

n Kevin Smith, 51, of the 1400 block of White Street, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Edward Haught, 28, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

Thefts

A male caller requested an officer at 6:57 a.m. Saturday, stating someone stole his phone overnight from a residence in the 800 block of South 21st Street.

n A caller at 10:34 a.m. Saturday her phone was stolen while at a friend’s house at the intersection of 27th Street and Forest Avenue.

n A man reported at 1:04 p.m. Saturday a TV and game were stolen from a vehicle while he was inside a business in the 2700 block of Broadway.

n A caller reported at 5:52 p.m. Saturday a bank card and laptop were stolen a few days ago from a residence in the 200 block of Opdyke.

n A caller reported at 5:58 p.m. Saturday a cell phone was taken a few days ago from a residence on South 10th Street.

n A driver from a cab service reported at 5:31 a.m. Sunday a female did not pay for a $20 fare.

n A woman told police at 2:15 p.m. Sunday she let a female subject use the victim’s car and the female stole money and sunglasses from the vehicle.

n A woman told police at 3:11 p.m. Sunday her son’s X-box was missing from a residence in the 900 block of Taylor Avenue.

n A man reported at 1:37 a.m. Monday a bench was taken from in front of a law office in the 1200 block of Salem Road.

Incidents

A staff member of Western Gardens in the 1100 block of South 34th Street requested an officer at 8:27 a.m. Saturday, stating a male resident had a female staff member on the ground by the hair.

n A man requested an officer in the 200 block of Potomac Boulevard at 8:29 a.m. Saturday stating construction materials slid off a roof and damaged the man’s truck.

n A man reported three male subjects drove by the 800 block of Lamar at 5:40 p.m. Saturday and one of the subjects fired a single gunshot from a window in the vehicle.

n A female caller told police at 9:28 p.m. Saturday her car window was broken out while parked in the 200 block of Grant.

n Multiple callers reported the sound of four gunshots at 11:48 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 19th Street and Conger Avenue. No damage was found.

n A caller told police at 2:41 p.m. Sunday someone shot his car with a BB. The man found the BB laying on a seat in his vehicle.

Fire

Jefferson Fire Protection District responded to a report of fire in the walls of a residence in the 2000 block of Waltonville Road at 9:48 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters cleared the scene at 10:08 a.m., logs state.

Arrests

Brandon Sager, 23, Glen Burnie, Md., was arrested at 3:20 p.m. Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Larry King, 34, of the 700 block of South 19th Street, was arrested at 7:23 p.m. Saturday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Christopher Przygoda, 31, Pinckneyville, was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Incidents

Deputies responded to a report at 9:24 p.m. Friday of 12 gunshots heard in the 14000 block of East Loyola Road. A deputy searched the area and did not hear anything.

n A caller stated she was in a physical dispute with a man known to the victim at 6:26 p.m. Saturday in the 10000 block of East Richview Road. The victim refused EMS, jail logs state.

n Woodlawn Fire Department and a hazardous materials team was called to the Farm Service location on Illinois Highway 15 at 7:27 p.m. Saturday. Reports indicate there was an anhydrous ammonia leak. The manager told authorities the valve gets loose with the changing of temperatures. Fire fighters cleared the scene at 6:51 p.m.

Fires

Waltonville Fire Department responded to a field fire at 4:26 p.m. Saturday in the 8700 block of Cartel Lane. Firefighters cleared the scene at 5:14 p.m.

n Woodlawn Fire Department responded to a report of a furnace fire at 4:37 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Jones. There was smoke, but no flames, according to reports. Firefighters cleared the scene at 4:51 p.m.

n Jefferson Fire Protection District responded to a garage fire at 5:17 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of North 10th Street. The homeowner was working on a car in the garage when it caught fire. The fire was under control at 5:27 p.m., according to reports.

Theft

A man told police at 1:11 p.m. Saturday tools were taken from a pole barn in the 12000 block of North Lighthouse Lane.

Arrest

Thomas Patterson, 54, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, was arrested at 12:06 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.
