Gerrado Forest, 18, of the 900 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday on charges of residential burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
n Junior Vaughan, 28, of the 600 block of Airport Road, was arrested at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday on charges of driving with no license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of meth less than 5 grams.
Dakota Sluder, 20, of the 600 block of Airport Road, was arrested at 8:20 a.m. Monday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.
n Joshua Graham, 18, of the 500 block of South 22nd Street, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. Monday on a charge of retail theft.
n Nikko Branch, 23, of the 1000 block of South 25th Street, was arrested at 3:56 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving during suspension.
Police received three reports of vehicle burglaries Tuesday. The sheriff's department received a report at 7:21 a.m. in the 900 block of North 11th Street, a woman reported a vehicle burglary at 7:29 a.m. in the 800 block of North 11th Street and a woman reported at 8:13 a.m. a vehicle burglary on Warwick Lane.
n A man reported at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday an intruder in the basement of his residence in the 900 block of Oakland Avenue. He also reported a subject out in the roadway acting as a possible look-out. A male subject was taken into custody, police logs state.
n A woman requested an officer at 7:41 p.m. Tuesday to the 700 block of Barton Street, stating her house was burglarized.
n A man requested an officer at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of South Davidson Avenue, for what he believed was an attempted burglary to a vehicle.
An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Broadway reported at 11:25 a.m. Monday damage to the business, possibly during an attempted burglary.
n An employee of Ameren reported at 4:11 p.m. Monday a burglary to a work truck in the 2600 block of Broadway.
n A woman told police at 4:47 p.m. Monday someone has filed taxes using her Social Security number.
A woman reported at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday her vehicle was damaged while parked in the Central Christian Church parking lot.
n A semi rolled over on its top at the southbound on ramp at Exit 95 at 9:39 p.m. Tuesday. Fire and EMS were first requested and then canceled. No injuries were reported.
n A motorist reported at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday a driver backing into another vehicle in the 4400 block of Broadway. EMS was requested for a female with chest pains. The unidentified woman was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.
A Mt. Vernon woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:54 a.m. Monday at the intersection of 12th and Main streets. Police report Myrtle Hamilton, 53, was northbound on on 12th Street when she was struck by a westbound car driven by Erica Hefner, 22, Bluford. Hamilton was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. Hefner was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device. Witness reports indicate Hamilton had the right-of-way at the intersection.
An employee of Kmart reported at 7:28 p.m. Monday a male subject in custody for alleged shoplifting.
Sharlisa Harris, 20, of the 900 block of South 12th Street, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging failure to appear.
n Robert Edburg, 24, Centralia, was arrested at 11:23 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging failure to appear.
An employee of Realty Masters reported at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday copper and wiring were taken from a vacant residence in the 18000 block of East Fairfield Road listed by the agency.
n A supervisor at Comprehensive Connections, Illinois Highway 37, reported at 10:52 a.m. Monday a male subject threatened staff members stating “they are marked for death.” The subject left southbound on 37, but police made no contact with the subject.
A man requested a deputy at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday to the 23000 block of North Poppy Lane in Dix in reference to items taken from the property.
n A male caller reported at 6:34 p.m. Monday while he was doing work for his daughter in the 500 block of Union Street in Waltonville, the daughter took her father's sawzall to a pawn shop and told her father it was stolen. The man located the saw at a pawn shop on 10th Street and wishes to press charges against his daughter, according to police logs.
