Arrests

Carvus Turney, 32, Bluford, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Roberta Riddle, 46, of the 100 block of Aspen Drive, was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of criminal trespass to a residence.

Incident

A woman told police at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday someone broke into her residence in the 800 block of South 24th Street and stole checks.

Thefts

An employee of the Dollar General store on 42nd Street reported two subjects committed an alleged theft shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

n A woman reported at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday a bicycle was taken from a residence in the 2800 block of Logan Street.

Accidents

A subject reported at 7 p.m. Tuesday a Penske rental truck attempted to go under the railroad overpass on Markham City Road and got stuck, damaging the top of the box truck. No injuries were reported.

n A single-vehicle accident was reported to the department shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday on the Dix-Irvington road. A vehicle reportedly was deep down into a creek. Centralia Fire Department and Litton’s Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. No injuries were reported.
