Carissa L. Johnson, 19, of the 800 block of Dewey, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of bail bond.
n Derek S. Nardone, 42, of the 1100 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of domestic battery.

A Salem cyclist was injured following an accident at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Veterans Memorial Drive. James Dennison, 48, was injured when his eastbound motorcycle was struck by a car driven by Heather A. Canny of Mt. Vernon, who was turning from a private parking lot. Canny told police her view was obstructed by a bush. She was ticketed for failure to yield. Dennison was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries.
A woman reported she came out of work at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday and discovered her vehicle missing.
A woman filled out a missing person’s report at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, stating her daughter was missing from a residence in the 1100 block of Harrison Street. The daughter was dropped off at a service station in Effingham earlier in the day by state police after her car broke down on Interstate 70, police logs state.

A resident in the 16000 block of East Illinois Highway 142 told authorities at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday they believe a health care worker who stays overnight at the residence may have stolen a firearm.
