A subject reported at 11:23 a.m. Wednesday a residence in the 2900 block of Peach Street was burglarized.
n A man requested an officer in the 300 block of South Second Street at 11:24 a.m. Wednesday for property damage. The subject reported he found ruts in his yard and a pole knocked down.
n A caller requested an officer at 7:36 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Gaskins for a fight in progress. One victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and a male subject was taken into custody, according to police logs.
A woman reported at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday a purse was taken from a vehicle while parked at a business in the 800 block of South 19th Street.
n A woman reported at 12:01 a.m. Thursday the theft of a cell phone, possibly during a ride in a taxi from Mt. Vernon to Woodlawn. The taxi company denied locating the lost phone.
Dylan L. Edmison, 19, Opdyke, was arrested at 10:39 a.m. Wednesday on two counts of residential burglary.
A caller requested a deputy at 1:46 p.m. Wednesday in the 12000 block of North Old Faithful Lane, stating a foster child had struck an adult female with keys. A male juvenile was taken into custody.
Jefferson Fire Protection District stood by during a controlled burn at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday on East Baseline Road. A mobile home, reportedly owned by Herb Simpson, was destroyed by fire intentionally by the owner.
