A male caller requested to speak to an officer at 6:16 a.m. Tuesday regarding a gunshot he heard in the 900 block of Wescott Street. No injuries were reported.
n A woman called police at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday to report being hit in the head with a bottle in the 1600 block of Forest Avenue. The woman refused medical treatment.
n A woman told police at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday there was damage to an office window in the 1400 block of South 34th Street.
n A battery involving a man and a woman was reported to police at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday. The alleged incidents took place in the 900 block of South 23rd Street and the 2200 block of Perkins Avenue. No charges resulted from this case.
n A woman requested an officer at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday to check around her house in the 400 block of South 4th Street. She reportedly heard knocking and banging on the sides of the house. Extra patrol of the area was requested.
n A female caller told police at 2:44 a.m. Wednesday someone tried to break into a vehicle in the 800 block of Meadowbrook Drive. The suspect had allegedly run from the area earlier when a security siren was activated.
A female employee reported to police at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday a drive-off in the amount of $30.01 at a gas station in the 200 block of Main Street.
n A man reported to police at 6:51 p.m. Tuesday the theft of several cell phones in the vicinity of 12th Street and Cherry Street. As a result, a male juvenile was charged with possession of stolen property.
n A female employee reported to police at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday a drive-off at a gas station in the 200 block of Main Street.
A two-vehicle injury accident occurred at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of South 26th Street and Veterans Memorial Drive. An ambulance driven by Michael A. Belcher, 34, of Irvington, collided with an SUV driven by Melissa A. Mooney, 37, of Belle Rive. Belcher was attempting to turn onto 26th Street from Veterans Memorial Drive when the crash occurred. Belcher and a passenger in the ambulance, Callie P. Bundy, 29, were taken to Crossroads Community Hospital for soreness. No citations were issued.

Daniel W. Kniffen, 21, of Ina was arrested at 5:38 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of DUI.
A male caller reported at 7:29 a.m. Wednesday someone had smashed his mailbox and broke the post. The incident took place in the 12900 block of North Opdyke Lane in Opdyke. The mailbox and post are estimated to be worth $100.
n A woman told police at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday a man known to her spit in her face and stole her phone. The incident reportedly occurred in the 7000 block of North Illinois Highway 37.
