Arrests

Jhytrenton C. Ladd, 21, of the 800 block of South 21st Street, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Daniel G. Smith, 49, of the 300 block of South Second Street, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Jose Roman, 35, of the 1100 block of South 21st Street, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of retail theft.

n Denise D. Lee, 48, of the 900 block of Cleveland Street, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of retail theft.

n Amber Mack, 28, of the 600 block of South 22nd Street, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Jeremy D. Hardig, 27, of Beech Drive, was arrested at 12:22 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of cannabis more than 30 grams and possession of drug equipment.

n Josua R. Williams, 22, of the 500 block of South 20th Street, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams.

n Justin E. Starr, 21, of the 2400 block of Lamar Avenue, was arrested at 4:27 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

n Jason W. Tanner, 39, Ashley, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n David M. Knox, 36, of the 1400 block of South 12th Street, was arrested at 3:46 a.m. Monday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Frederick W. Knox, 31, of the 600 block of Perkins Avenue, was arrested at 4:54 a.m. Monday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

n Terri S. Stratton, 31, of the 1300 block of South 26th Street, was arrested at 7:07 a.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

Incidents

An Illinois State Police trooper reported at 8:11 a.m. Monday his squad car had been damaged by debris from someone mowing in the 3400 block of Peach Street.

n Two female juveniles were taken into custody at 8:14 a.m. Monday following an altercation at a business in the 300 block of Prairie Avenue.

n The occupant of a residence in the 600 block of Conger Avenue reported at 4:45 p.m. Monday his residence had been broken into.

n A woman reported at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday she had been battered with a broomstick in the 1600 block of Logan Street.

n A subject was reportedly battered in the 500 block of South 18th Street before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken to Crossroads Hospital.

n Two businesses reported finding counterfeit bills at noon and 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

n A female caller told police at 2:47 p.m. Friday that someone burglarized her residence in the 2700 block of Jones Street.

n An officer took a report at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center at 5:28 a.m. Saturday from a female who was allegedly battered at the Foxxxy Lady in Dix.

n A homeowner in the 300 block of South 22nd Street told police at 12:23 p.m. Saturday a fence had been damaged.

n About 20 subjects were reportedly involved in a fight at 3:48 p.m. Sunday at the city park. Police broke up the disturbance, logs state.

Thefts

An employee of a business in the 100 block of South 44th Street reported a fuel drive-off at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and another business in the 1400 block of Salem Road reported a fuel drive-off of $30 at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday.

n Shoplifters were taken into custody at Kroger at 3:50 p.m. and at Walmart at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, police logs state.

n An employee of a sporting goods store in the 3900 block of Broadway reported at 5:46 p.m. Friday two subjects were involved in a shoplifting incident.

n A woman told police at 9:30 a.m. Friday she lost her wallet the previous Sunday and now subjects are attempting to open accounts in her name.

n An employee of a cab company told police at 5:10 a.m. Saturday a female refused to pay for her fare after being taken to a local hospital.

n A woman told police at 6:20 a.m. Saturday a man she knows stole her purse at a residence in the 1100 block of Gaskins Avenue.

Fires

Firefighters responded to a fire at Walgreens Distribution Center at 4 p.m. Monday. Cardboard bales caught on fire and it was reportedly extinguished upon the firemen’s arrival.

Arrests

Randall Ewing, 53, Fairfield, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating compounds.

n Harold D. Wilson, 46, 4202 Westwood Drive, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence.

n David C. Eubanks, 51, Benton, was arrested at 9:37 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Incidents

Deputies responded to a report of a burglary to a work shop at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.

n A woman reported at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday her newspaper and mail boxes had been smashed in the 14000 block of North Old Centralia Road.

n A male newspaper delivery person and two female occupants of a minivan were taken to a local hospital at 7 a.m. Wednesday, after their mini-van reportedly went into a sink hole on East Prior Road, east of George Lane. The Rome Township road commissioner was advised of the sink hole, reports state.

Thefts

A subject reported to police at 7:38 p.m. Sunday that items had been stolen out of car parked in the 200 block of Illinois 37 north in Ina.
