Police Department

Arrests

Marcus Morris, 39, of the 900 block of South 12th Street, was arrested at 12:46 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Melodie Johnson, 36, of the 900 block of South 20th Street, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n William Shields, 24, of the 800 block of Lamar, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Thursday on a charge of theft under $500.

n Allen Fowler, 62, of the 1200 block of South 26th Street, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Michael Wade, 36, of the 500 block of South 17th Street, was arrested at 4:01 a.m. Friday on charges of driving under the influence and threatening a public official.

Thefts

A woman reported at 9:39 a.m. Thursday a theft from her residence in the 800 block of South 25th Street.

n A man reported at 4:45 p.m. Thursday the theft of a bicycle from a residence in the 300 block of Herbert Street.

n A woman reported at 4:57 p.m. Thursday of being scammed out of $300 online.

n A woman reported at 5 p.m. Thursday a purse was taken from a vehicle while parked at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

n The manager of O’Reilly Auto Parts in the 2900 block of Broadway requested an officer for an internal theft. The suspect was later located at a private residence and was taken into custody.

Incidents

A subject reported at 10:01 a.m. Thursday they were a victim of identity theft.

n A male subject reported at 3:50 p.m. Thursday three electronic items were taken from a vehicle while parked at a business in the 1800 block of Broadway a couple of weeks ago.

n A subject reported at 8:11 p.m. Thursday hearing a dozen single gunshots in the area of 19th Street and Perkins Avenue. Police received similar reports at 11:27 p.m. and 11:29 p.m. in the areas of the 900 block of Lamar and the 300 block of North 15th Street. Police made no contact with the alleged offending parties.

Fire

Firefighters responded to a leaf fire at 5:18 p.m. in the 700 block of South 15th Street. The fire spread to a nearby shed, logs state.

Quentin Metje, 22, Sesser, was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.
