Charges filed:

Rebecka A. Castro, 41, of the 1100 block of Gaskins Avenue, was formally charged April 28 with unlawful possession of contraband in a penal institution. The charge alleges on April 25 the defendant brought an item of contraband, clonazepam, into the Jefferson County Justice Center.

n Edwin Lugo, 26, of the 2200 block of Conger Avenue, was formally charged April 29 with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The charge alleges on March 16 the defendant possessed a multi-colored glass pipe with the intent to use the pipe to inhale cannabis.

n Nathan W. Page, 25, of the 100 block of Liebengood Road, was formally charged April 29 with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The charge alleges on March 15 the defendant possessed a silver pipe with the intent to use the pipe to inhale cannabis.

n Jamie M. Asher, 20, of Wayne City, was formally charged May 1 with retail theft. The charge alleges on March 31 the defendant stole various items of clothing from Kohl’s, 141 S. Davidson Ave. The clothing was valued at more than $300.

n Ashley B. Powers, 18, of Fairfield, was formally charged May 1 with retail theft. The charge alleges on March 31 the defendant stole various items of clothing from Kohl’s. The clothing was valued at more than $300.

n Greg W. Coomes, 39, of the unit block of Beech Drive, was formally charged May 1 with criminal damage to property and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges allege on March 29 the defendant damaged another person’s cell phone and possessed two pipes with the intent to use the pipes to inhale cannabis.

n Janalee Lampp, 50, of the 800 block of Maple Street, was formally charged May 1 with retail theft. The charge alleges on March 29 the defendant stole items from Kroger Supercenter, 415 S. 42nd St. The items, valued at less than $300, included a container of Pillsbury Grands and a package of bacon.

n Perice L. Ladd, 31, of the 3400 block of Nature Trail Lane, was formally charged Tuesday with aggravated domestic battery. The charge alleges on May 3 the defendant strangled his girlfriend.

Dispositions:

Melissa P. Workman, 41, of Vandalia, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of aggravated DUI. She was sentenced to 30 months of probation, 10 days in jail, a fine and restitution.

n Jeffrey A. Rockett, 47, of the 16700 block of North Campground Lane, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of possession of a firearm with an expired FOID card. He was sentenced to a fine and 24 months of conditional discharge.

n Jennifer L. Rankin, 32, of the 1800 block of Franklin Avenue, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of resisting a peace officer. She was sentenced to 24 months of conditional discharge, a fine and credit for time served.

n Dustin M. Crunk, 25, of Dix, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of criminal defacement of property. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 12 months of conditional discharge and restitution.

n Dylan C. Bruns, 18, of the 6800 block of North Matisse Lane, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of criminal damage to property. He was sentenced to 24 months of conditional discharge, a fine and restitution.

n Marty D. McCluskey, 19, of the 1100 block of South 13th Street, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of residential burglary. He was sentenced to five years to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

n Kenyon L. Johnson, 34, of the 700 block of South 21st Street, pleaded guilty May 1 to a charge of resisting a peace officer. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and credit for time served.

n Charges of aggravated assault and possessing a firearm without a valid FOID card were dismissed Monday against Richard A. Green, 34, of the 19000 block of North Illinois Highway 37.

n Jason M. Bell, 37, of the 2600 block of Main Street, pleaded guilty May 1 to a charge of battery. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervision and a fine.

n Charges of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to state land and possession of cannabis were dismissed May 2 against Tony L. Feggins, 21, of the 100 block of East Opdyke Avenue.

n Jesse L. Beal, 25, of the 100 block of North Sixth Street, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and a fine.

n Charges of retail theft and theft were dismissed Tuesday against Cerica M. Barnett, 30, of the 700 block of South 10th Street.

n Kevin A. Boughers, 40, of the 19200 block of Songbird Lane, pleaded guilty May 1 to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervision, a fine and alcohol treatment.

n Jennifer R. Hicks, 34, of the 700 block of Green Street, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving under the influence. She was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge, five days in jail, a fine and alcohol treatment.

n Larry D. Bush, 51, of Cottontown, Tenn., pleaded guilty May 2 to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervision, a fine, alcohol treatment and public service.
