Arrests

Larry Haygood, 45, of Fairfield, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Friday on charges of criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

n James Zeckovich, 58, of the 500 block of North Eighth Street, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. Saturday on a charge of battery/makes physical contact.

n Alpha Rudd, 66, of the 500 block of Short Street, was arrested at 8:07 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Dawn Vitale, 28, of Centralia, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

n Antonio Laurence, 23, of the 2200 block of Logan Street, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving on a suspended license and possession of cannabis/less than 2.5 grams.

n Jonathan Swan, 32, of Fairfield, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. Saturday on a charge of battery/makes physical contact.

n Aaron Collins, 24, of the 1400 block of White Avenue, was arrested at 5:24 a.m. Sunday on charges of manufacture/delivery of cannabis (2.5 to 10 grams) and violation of bail bond.

n Khirece Tucker, 22, of the 400 block of Forest Avenue, was arrested at 9:41 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

n David Weatherall, 24, of the 1200 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested at 9:49 a.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

n Zachary Travous, 24, of Bluford, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving/never issued license and violation of bail bond.

n Elvin Starr, 33, of Centralia, was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving on a suspended license and violation of bail bond.

n Judson Connaway, 26, of Texico, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Incidents

A woman told police at 11:54 a.m. Friday someone placed fraudulent charges on her bank accounts. The woman lives on Veterans Memorial Drive.

n A woman reported to police at 4:09 p.m. Friday her son’s cell phone may have been stolen out of a car when the car was towed during an arrest stop. The incident took place at the intersection of 17th Street and Veterans Memorial Drive.

n A manager requested an officer at 6:39 p.m. Friday regarding an individual who had shoplifted some headphones at a store in the 1800 block of South 10th Street.

n A woman told police at 9:06 p.m. Friday a parent of her son’s friend put his hands on her son at a residence on South 21st Street.

n A man told police at 9:47 a.m. Saturday his new asphalt was damaged in the 100 block of South 45th Street.

n A man requested to make a burglary to a vehicle report at 10:03 a.m. Saturday. The incident took place in the 1200 block of Jones Street.

n An individual told police at 11:34 a.m. Saturday their daughter’s vehicle was struck and damaged, possibly by an ex-boyfriend. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Osage Drive.

n A caller told police at 8:20 p.m. Saturday a young male suspect put on a pair of gold brass knuckles while inside a restaurant in the 1600 block of Broadway.

n A man told police at 4:30 a.m. Sunday several people were arguing outside in the 2700 block of Colonial Drive and there was the sound of a possible gunshot. A man later reported to police at 6:08 a.m. Sunday he was battered at the Colonial Drive location.

Thefts

A Mt. Vernon Parks Department employee told police at 3:19 p.m. Sunday some fishing poles and tackle were taken from the bed of a woman’s pickup truck in the 800 block of South 27th Street.

n An individual reported to police at 3:36 p.m. Sunday their credit card information had been used in another state. The victim lives on Crescent Drive.

n A man told police at 3:37 p.m. Sunday someone used his credit card without his knowledge. The victim lives on South 21st Street.

n A woman reported to police at 7:25 p.m. Sunday she heard a gunshot in the area of South 21st Street and South 23rd Street. No injuries were reported in the police logs.

n A caller told police at 8:26 p.m. Sunday there were two males wearing white shirts walking south on Wells Bypass who had black handguns displayed. Officers checked the area and did not make contact with the suspects, police logs state.

n A man told police at 8:36 p.m. Sunday his wallet was stolen from a park in the 1300 block of South Seventh Street.

Afton Shrum, 27, of Woodlawn, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Alexander Tigner, 24, of Buford, Ga., was arrested at 5:21 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Willie Smith, 22, of the 600 block of South Sixth Street, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Donovan Williams, 21, of the 1900 block of Conger Avenue, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Zachary Baker, 29, of Opdyke, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Donald Cochrane, 23, of Belle Rive, was arrested at 3:28 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Kyle Zemeskas, 22, of the 14600 block of Maysville Lane, was arrested at 4:32 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

n Zachary Zimmerman, 18, of Bluford, was arrested at 7:40 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and unlawful transportation of alcohol.

n Donald Huston, 36, of Wayne City, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. Sunday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Jamie Serles, 38, of McLeansboro, was arrested at 4:06 a.m. Monday on a charge of driving on a revoked license.

n John Sweetin, 42, of the 2000 block of Cherry Street, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. Monday on a charge of driving on a revoked license.

Incidents

Authorities responded at 4:10 p.m. Friday to a report of a break-in at the Sherwood Campground building in Ina. Police logs contained no information about damage or stolen items.

n A fight was reported at the Jefferson County Jail, 911 Casey Ave., at 4:08 p.m. Sunday. One inmate reportedly wants to press charges against another inmate in connection to the fight, police logs state.

n A disabled man told police at 10:27 p.m. Sunday a woman known to him slapped him in the face. The incident occurred in the 12000 block of North Opdyke Lane.

n A woman informed police at 11:11 p.m. Sunday a man known to her stole her keys and purse, and also twisted her wrist. The incident took place in the 15200 block of East Liberty Road.

n A man told police at 2 a.m. Monday someone operating a four-wheeler tore up his property and cornfield in the 6700 block of North Triton Lane.
