Charges Filed

Rebecca A. Phillips, 40, of the 1400 block of Salem Road, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church for allegedly having cocaine on March 21 and March 22.

Monekie R. Sanders, 33, of the 5100 block of South 18th Street, was charged with unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis for allegedly doing so on June 11.

Pierre J. Reed, 39, of the 800 block of South 23rd Street, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having under 15 grams of cocaine on Feb. 27.

Gurley W. Stevenson, 39, of the 400 block of Herbert Street, was charged with unlawful delivery on a controlled substance cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park for allegedly doing so on March 5.

Jeremy W. Mount, 28, of the 16500 block of Old Fairfield Road, was charged with aggravated battery for allegedly hitting a man in the head with a tire tool on June 19.

Kyle D. McCoy, 18, of the 1200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking two bottles of alcohol from Plaza Liquor Mart on June 18.

John M. Bennett, 19, of the 500 block of Short Street, was charged with aggravated robbery for allegedly stealing $400 in cash using a firearm on June 18.

Kelly Breaux, 25, of the 500 block of South 21st Street, was charged with forgery for allegedly signing someone else’s name to a check given to Pizza Pro in the amount of $22.14.

Anthonette Strowder, 49, of Centralia, was charged with unlawful use of a credit card for allegedly trying to use someone else’s card to purchase a 19 inch television set from Wal-Mart on April 28.

Joe Pfeifer, 59, of Champaign, was charged with burglary for allegedly entering a building owned by Union Pacific Railroad on Sept. 28, 2006.

Joseph C. Frazier, 23, of the 20200 block of East Sandpiper Lane in Bluford, was charged with theft for allegedly taking between $300 and $10,000 in currency from a woman in June 2006.

Cottrell C. Goodwin, 30, of the 500 block of South 18th Street, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis for allegedly having under 200 grams of MDMA and between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis on Jan. 27.

Michael T. Brumley, 38, of the 17300 block of East Divide Road in Texico, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking a pair of sunglasses from Harper’s on June 21.

Christopher L. Welch, 21, of the 1200 block of North 10th Street, was charged with theft for allegedly taking a Sears gift card on June 20.

Troy L. Johnson, 49, of Springfield, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church for allegedly having under 15 grams of heroin on June 20.

Clinton E. Welch, 25, of the 2500 block of Logan Street, was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly giving a false report of a battery to the Mt. Vernon Police Department on April 20.

Weekly dispositions

Keota M. Brown, 25, of Centralia, pleaded guilty to resisting a peace officer or correctional employee and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and fined. A charge of obstructing justice was dismissed.

Ronald E. Cain, 51, of the 900 block of Perkins Avenue, had his probation revoked on a charge of obstruction of justice, and pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections and ordered to pay court costs. A charge of obstruction of justice was dismissed.

Jessica C. Derrick, 20, of the 400 block of Willow Springs, pleaded guilty to battery and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and fined. A charge of aggravated battery in a public place was amended.

Canaan Duty, 23, of Jonesboro, had a charge of possession of a methamphetamine precursor dismissed.

James M. Fuller, 41, of the 1700 block of Lambert, pleaded guilty to driving on a revoked or suspended license and was sentenced to one year in IDOC, fined and given credit for time served.

Patricia E. Jackson, 50, of Makanda, had a charge of possession of a methamphetamine precursor dismissed.

Cathy A. Meyer, 41, of Nashville, pleaded guilty to writing a bad check over $150 or second offense and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge, fined and ordered to make restitution.

Roy G. Moorman, 42, of the 200 block of South Second Street, pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 18 months’ probation, fined, ordered to make restitution, 60 days in jail and given credit for time served. A charge of burglary was dismissed.

Eric W. Neal, 23, of the 15600 block of East Noleman, had a charge of violating an order of protection dismissed.

Curtis D. Sanders, 36, of the 500 block of South 13th Street, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to 18 months’ conditional discharge, fined and ordered to undergo alcohol treatment. A charge of aggravated fleeing from police dismissed.

Bryan K. Woods, 17, of the 600 block of Lamar Avenue, had charges of burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of under 2.5 grams of cannabis dropped.

Michael P. Woods, 21, of the 300 block of Harrison Street, had a charge of criminal sexual abuse dropped.

Michael R. Boling, 26, of the 1500 block of Herbert Street, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and fined.

Terrell Cooks, 21, of the 700 block of South 24th Street, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge, ordered to pay court costs and perform public service.

Jonathan W. Cooper, 36, of the 500 block of South 19th Street, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and fined.

Jason L. Fairchild, 25, of the 1200 block of South 24th Street, had a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed.

Corbin D. Jones, 19, of the 400 block of South 19th Street, had a charge of possession of cannabis dropped.

Kyle D. McCoy, 18, of the 1200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, pleaded guilty to consumption of alcohol by a minor and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs. Three additional charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor and a charge of resisting a peace officer were dismissed.

Clair Allen Mosher, 51, of the 16500 block of North Illinois Highway 37, had charges of domestic battery and interfering with the report of a domestic battery dropped.

Bridget K. Neal, 21, of the 1600 block of Forest Avenue, had charges of domestic battery and interfering with the report of a domestic battery dropped.

Donald R. Stroud, 53, of the 900 block of Adams Street in Dix, pleaded guilty to knowingly damaging property and was sentenced to one year court supervision, ordered to pay court costs and given credit for jail time served.

James P. Thetford, 32, of the 1900 block of Broadway, had a charge of domestic battery dropped.

Joseph L. Welch, 18, of the 200 block of West North Street in Bluford, had a charge of domestic battery dropped.

Britin L. White, 18, of the 100 block of Aspen Drive, pleaded guilty to consumption of alcohol by a minor and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs. A charge of criminal trespass to a residence was dismissed.

Dennis J. Skelton, 54, of the 100 block of Juniper Street, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and fined.

Chad B. Sledge, 30, of the 23000 block of North Canton Lane in Texico, had a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol dismissed.

Kenneth L. Deitsch, 37, of Carbondale, pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to four years in IDOC and was ordered to pay court costs.

Rhett L. Sloan, 35, of rural route 7, pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI and was sentenced to one year in IDOC and ordered to pay court costs. A charge of driving on a suspended/revoked license was dismissed.

Jevon D. Gaston, 20, of East St. Louis, pleaded guilty to possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor and was sentenced to one year court supervision and ordered to pay court costs.

John R. Morehead, 46, of the 19500 block of East Illinois Highway 15 in Bluford, pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and was sentenced to one year court supervision and fined.

Derrick D. Robateau, 22, of the 700 block of Conger Avenue, pleaded guilty to knowingly damaging property and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs.

David L. Diehl, 55, of Centralia, had two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol dismissed.

Robert D. McGuire, 25, of the 800 block of South 20th Street, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to one year conditional discharge, fined, ordered to complete public service and undergo alcohol treatment. Another charge of DUI was dismissed.

John R. Morehead, 46, of the 19500 block of Illinois Highway 15, had two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol dismissed.
