Arrests

A Granite City teen was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Thursday on two counts of burglary. Police said employees of Holiday Inn saw 21-year-old Tyler S. Ogden break into at least two vehicles on the motel’s parking lot. Police responded to the scene and took Ogden into custody.

n Byron Liddell, 40, of the 1700 block of Lamar, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday on charges of violation of bail bond and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

Incidents

A male caller told police at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday a large flower pot was busted at a residence in the 2800 block of Apple.

n A woman told police at 1:46 p.m. Wednesday she discovered a small hole on one of the vehicle’s windows and the rest of the window was shattered. The vehicle was parked at Walmart, according to reports.

n A female clerk of the Second Street Huck’s store told police at 1 a.m. Thursday a male subject threw a brick through a window at Sensation Station in the 200 block of Main Street. Police made no contact with the suspect.

Thefts

A woman from out of state requested to speak to an officer at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a resident of White Oak Nursing Home, whom the reporting person said was being taken advantage of by someone else by taking money from the resident.

n A woman told police at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday her husband was chasing two male juveniles who had stolen toys from a yard in the 400 block of Casey Avenue. Police made no contact with the suspects.
