David J. Pederson, 55, Marion, was formally charged April 17 with four counts of aggravated vehicular hijacking and armed robbery. Records state on March 26 the defendant took control over two vehicles while armed with a pellet gun; and a juvenile occupied one of the hijacked vehicles. The robbery charges stems from the theft of a debit card from one of the victims.

n Jose A. Roman, 35, of the 1100 block of South 21st Street, was formally charged April 17 with retail theft with a prior conviction. Records state on April 16 the defendant took two packages of batteries from Kroger.

n Denise D. Lee, 48, of the 900 block of Cleveland, was formally charged April 17 with retail theft. Records state on April 16 the defendant took numerous items from Walmart exceeding $300 in value.

n Daniel G. Smith, 49, of the 300 block of South Second Street, was formally charged April 17 with domestic battery. Records state on April 16 the defendant struck a female family member across the face with an open hand.

n Brian J. Bernard, 33, of the 800 block of Harrison Street, was formally charged Monday with domestic battery. Records state on Sunday the defendant shoved a female family member.

n Tad A. Larson, 25, of the 15000 block of Old Centralia Lane, was formally charged Monday with domestic battery. Records state on Sunday the defendant shoved a female family member in the chest area.

n Cottrell C. Goodwin, 18, of the 700 block of South 21st Street, was formally charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of cannabis. Records state on April 16 the defendant had in his possession more than 2.5 grams of cannabis.

Dispositions

Tyrell K. Williams, 27, of the 400 block of South 17th Street, pleaded guilty April 19 to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed on conditional discharge for a period of 24 months and ordered to pay court fines.

n Caleb Gebke, 17, Richview, pleaded guilty April 18 to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to 24 months of court supervision and ordered to pay court fines.

n Lenard H. Settipani, 56, Bluford, pleaded guilty April 18 to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to 18 months of court supervision and to pay court fines.

n Nelson R. Crunk, 19, Dix, pleaded guilty April 19 to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 18 months’ conditional discharge and ordered to pay court fines.

n Brandon L. Stallings, 28, Dix, pleaded guilty April 19 to a charge of misdemeanor escape from a peace officer. He was sentenced to 18 months’ conditional discharge and ordered to pay court fines.

n Chad E. Belmont, 28, of the 700 block of Salem Road, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months’ court supervision and to pay court fines.

n William C. Lamont, 34, Carbondale, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to 18 months’ court supervision and to pay court fines.

n Daniel W. Mongomery, 23, Bonnie, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 18 months’ court supervision and to pay court fines.

n Jerel M. Cermak, 29, of the 700 block of Maple Street, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of knowingly damaging property. He was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court fines.

n Frank D. Hopkins, 43, Herrin, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 18 months’ conditional discharge and given credit for 13 days served. He was also ordered to pay court costs.

n Dwight K. McCormick, 55, of the 15000 block of East County Farm Road, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 18 months’ court supervision and ordered to pay court fines.

n David R. Rodriguez, 21, of the 1500 block of Shawnee Street, pleaded guilty Monday to theft over $500. He was sentenced to 18 months’ and ordered to pay court fines.

n Cody James, 25, Ina, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of retail theft. He was sentenced to 30 months’ conditional discharge and six months in jail. He was also ordered to pay court costs.

n Raydeen M. Tapp, 22, of the 300 block of Casey Avenue, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of retail theft over $300. She was sentenced to 30 months’ conditional discharge, six months in jail, and to pay court fines.

n Jennifer A. Moon, 40, of the 700 block of South 21st Street, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of aggravated battery of a police officer. She was sentenced to three years to the Illinois Department of Corrections. A second count was dismissed.
