Arrests

Donovan A. Grissom, 25, of the 2400 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 1:23 p.m. Monday on a charge of aggravated battery.

n Thomas L. Hughey, 25, Belle Rive, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. Monday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and having no insurance.

n Vencint P. Rush, 27, Alton, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of criminal damage to state land.

n Melvin L. Taylor, 55, of the 900 block of Perkins Avenue, was arrested at 3:26 a.m. Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery and two counts of robbery.

Incidents

A woman reported at 7:50 a.m. Monday her residence in the 1800 block of Harlan Road had been burglarized, and there was damage to a garage door.

n A detective reported at 9:10 a.m. Monday he received a report of a burglary in the 1800 block of Harlan Road, unrelated to the above mentioned burglary.

nA man reported at 12:14 p.m. Monday he was allegedly battered by a neighbor in the 2400 block of Casey Avenue.

n Two male subjects were reportedly involved in a fight at 2:55 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 12th and Jones streets. One person was taken to Crossroads Community Hospital, police logs state.

n A woman who lives in the 400 block of South 22nd Street told police a basement window was broken out of the residence sometime last week.

n A man told police at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday he was robbed by two male subjects in the area of 17th Street and Perkins Avenue.

n A woman reported at 3:03 a.m. Tuesday she was allegedly assaulted and robbed by a male subject in the 600 block of South 15th Street. EMS was called but the victim refused treatment, logs state.

Thefts

A resident of a juvenile home on Richview Road reported at 4:50 p.m. Monday the theft of a lock box.

n A woman told police at 10:53 a.m. Monday $700 was stolen from her pocket while she was sleeping at a motel in the 1400 block of Salem Road.

Accidents

A man told police at 4:44 p.m. Monday he struck a juvenile with his vehicle. The victim was taken to Crossroads Community Hospital.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Bill J. Connaway, 63, of the 2800 block of College Street, was arrested at 6:03 p.m. Monday on a charge of harassing a witness. Bail is set at $40,000.

Thefts

A female caller requested a deputy at 5:53 p.m. Monday after a residence in the 3600 block of East Nursery Road had been burglarized. Someone came through a window and stole an X-Box 360 and Playstation 3.

Arrest

Gary L. Stone, 23, of the 1100 block of Shawnee Avenue, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Monday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.
