Shayla R. Rector, 21, of the 900 block of Salem Road, was arrested at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of criminal damage to property over $300.

n Tosha M. Henry, 28, of the 600 block of South 20th Street, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday on a failure to appear warrant.

n Jerry Lee Boss, 41, of the 700 block of South 10th Street, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of the sex offender’s registration.

n Tony L. Feggins, 20, of the 100 block of East Opdyke Avenue, was arrested at 12:42 a.m. Thursday on charges of violation of bail bond and possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams.

n Billy J. Harman, 33, Dix, was arrested at 3:25 a.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while license suspended/revoked.


Officers responded to Overhead Door in the 900 block of South 45th Street at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday for a theft report.

n A male subject told police at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday a phone and medications were stolen from his residence in the 1000 block of South 17th Street overnight.

n A woman told police at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday her brother’s three-wheel tricycle was taken from a residence in the 200 block of Walnut Street.

n A woman reported at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday finding a male subject taking items from a garage in the 1000 block of Wescott. The suspect fled on a bike in an alley. The victim called police at 10:35 p.m. to report finding several items missing from the garage.


An employee of the Corner Travern in the 800 block of South 19th Street told police at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday a window had been broken.


An employee of a car dealership in the 1400 block of Salem Road reported at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday a subject had driven his vehicle into several vehicles on the lot. EMS was requested for the motorist, who refused treatment and transport.

Kandi Jo McCormick, 27, of the 100 block of East Casey Avenue, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday on a failure to appear warrant.

Illinois State Police


Police have released the names of those injured in an accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 57 at 4:13 a.m. Tuesday.

Christie Hansen, 66, of Cheyenne, Wyo., was driving the semi that failed to negotiate a curve, leaving the roadway and coming to rest in the median.

Hansen was airflifted to Deaconnes Hospital in Evansville, Ind., and a passenger, 67-year-old Lyle Hansen, was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center.

The driver was ticketed on a charge of improper lane usage.
