Arrests

Stephanie D. Akerman, 34, of the 100 block of Cherry Drive, was arrested at 12:12 p.m. Friday on a charge of theft between $500 and $10,000.

n Robert K. Brown, 41, of the 200 block of Cottonwood, was arrested at 4 p.m. Friday on a charge of aggravated battery.

n Mary L. Wagner, 40, of the 110 block of South 22nd Street, was arrested at 5:03 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Latisha R. Jones, 28, of the 1000 block of Forest, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. Friday on charges of driving while license suspended/revoked and violation of bail bond.

n Clarence D. Thorpe Jr., 22, of the 400 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of cannabis.

n Larry D. Browning III, 20, of the 3200 block of Cherry, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Ronald A. Henderson, 61, of the 100 block of Cherry Drive, was arrested at 10:46 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disorderly conduct.

n Edward J. Robinson, 32, of the 400 block of Forest, was arrested at 4:57 a.m. Sunday on a charge of criminal trespass to state land.

n Antonio T. Foulks, 27, of the 1500 block of South Ninth Street, was arrested at 2:28 p.m. Sunday on a charge of obstructing an officer.

n Champagne L. Turner, 28, of the 500 block of South 20th Street, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Jerry W. Gill II, 38, of the 1000 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Sunday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Cody C. Ince, 20, of the 4400 block of Woodglen, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Jykeece V. Oliver, 23, of the 2300 block of Perkins Avenue, was arrested at 2:36 a.m. Monday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.

Incidents

A woman reported at 10:39 p.m. Saturday her juvenile daughter had been sexually assaulted by an adult male.

n A woman told police at 4:06 a.m. Saturday she had been battered by a man, who also took the victim’s cell phone.

n An officer was requested at 4:30 a.m. Saturday to a residence in the 200 block of South Second Street for a burglary report.

n A man told police at 9:23 a.m. Sunday someone slashed the tires on his vehicle while parked overnight in the 2000 block of Brownsville Road.

n A woman told police at 9:23 p.m. Sunday a female subject slashed the tires on a vehicle while parked at a business in the 2600 block of Broadway.

n A woman reported at 9:58 p.m. Sunday a male subject took a television from a residence in the 600 block of Airport Road.

n A man told police at 10:55 p.m. he was battered by a woman known by the victim in the 1300 block of South 26th Street.

Thefts

An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Broadway told police at 9:44 a.m. Saturday employees of the business had left some used television sets on a loading dock the previous night and when they returned the next morning someone had stripped the TV’s of parts.

n A caller told police at 5:25 p.m. Saturday jewelry was missing from a motel room in the 200 block of Potomac Boulevard.

Arrests

Aletha G. Thomas, 47, of the 1100 block of Herbert, was arrested at 6:18 a.m. Saturday on a warrant charging failure to appear.

n Daniel T. Shaw, 27, Benton, was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

Fire

County firefighters were called to Rome Meadows in Dix at 6:16 p.m. Friday when the fourth floor of the complex became full of smoke. A faulty washing machine in the laundry room was blamed for the smoke. There was no fire.

Theft

A subject reported at 7:05 p.m. Sunday identification cards, driver’s license and money were taken from a residence in the 200 block of Casey in Woodlawn.

n A man reported at 10 p.m. Sunday the theft of a vehicle from the 1200 block of North 12th Street. The vehicle was recovered Monday morning in Wayne County and a subject was taken into custody.
