Rochester Taylor, 69, of the 4200 block of Rose Lane, was arrested at 8 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant charging failure to pay a secured party.
n Gordon A. Yarbor, 42, Wayne City, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of burglary.
n Aleta D. Lockhart, 50, of the 1200 block of South 13th Street, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of theft by deception of more than $10,000, but less than $100,000.
n Melissa A. Allois, 49, Ina, was arrested at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of aggravated battery.
n Earl I. Liddell, 56, of the 1000 block of Prairie Avenue, was arrested at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of retail theft.
n Edward P. Gilbert, 34, Du Quoin, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of aggravated battery.
A woman told police at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday her residence in the 1500 block of South Ninth Street had been burglarized.
n An employee of a business in the 1700 block of Harrison Street told police at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday a company van was broken into.
n A woman reported to police at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday windows to her husband’s vehicle were shot out while parked in the 700 block of South 23rd Street.
n Juveniles reportedly broke into a business in the 2000 block of Forest Avenue sometime before 6:50 p.m. Wednesday. One male juvenile was taken into custody, according to police logs.
n A male subject reported his home in the 100 block of East Perkins Avenue was burglarized sometime before 9:46 p.m. Wednesday.
n A male subject reported shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday he was allegedly battered by a woman known by the victim.
An employee of Borowiak’s IGA, 500 South 10th St., reported at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday a male subject left the store with unpaid meat. The subject was found hiding under a deck and was taken into custody, police logs state.

Javier A. Morales, 34, of the 1400 block of White Street, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. Thursday on charges of criminal damage to property and burglary.
n Michael A. Serna, 32, of the 900 block of Cleveland, was arrested at 3:42 a.m. Thursday on charges of criminal defacement of property, child sex offender at a park, and two counts of burglary.
A caller told police at 8:44 a.m. Wednesday his residence in the 16000 block of East Canton Road had been burglarized.
A man told police at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday while he was on a lake near North Cooley Lane and Ash Road someone busted a window to his vehicle and stole a couple of fishing poles and golf clubs. A second report was received in the same area of another vehicle being broken into, however, no items were listed as missing, according to police logs.
