n Kerry Whipple, 19, of the 16000 block of North Illinois Highway 37, was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked.
n Tyrone Briscoe, 33, of the 1700 block of South 15th Street, was arrested at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.
n Leshontra Johnson, 25, of the 2700 block of Jones Street, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant charging failure to appear.
n Stephen Laur, 50, of the 2200 block of Casey Avenue, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday on a Jefferson County warrant for residential burglary.
A caller told police at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday she discovered damage to her back car window while parked in the 700 block of South 18th Street.
n A woman called police at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday stating a female came to her door in the 1700 block of South 15th Street requesting the woman call police regarding a domestic dispute. Police responded and took the suspect into custody. The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center after complaining of being choked.
n Police received a call from a man in Centralia at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday to check on the well-being of a grandson in the 2700 block of Jones Street, who had been threatened by his girlfriend with a knife. The female suspect was taken into custody on a warrant charging failure to appear.
A Mt. Vernon man was issued multiple citations following a two-vehicle accident at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of Broadway. Police report Elijah Hiatt, 30, was in the outside eastbound lane, crossing to the inside lane and turning lane in front of Blake A. Newbury, 38, of Bluford. Newbury’s vehicle struck Hiatt’s vehicle in the rear, which was sticking out in traffic. Hiatt was ticketed on charges of improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license. Both drivers were taken to Crossroads Community Hospital with neck and back injuries, according to police.
