Arrests

Jarcus Croft, 34, of the 900 block of Cleveland, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. Saturday on charges of domestic battery and violation of bail bond.

n Vera Moore, 35, Herrin, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Sylvester Stevenson, 18, of the 700 block of South 18th Street, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of parole.

n Amy Jackson, 33, of the 2700 block of Mannen Street, was arrested at 3:53 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence.

n David Weatherall, 23, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Sunday on charges of obstructing justice/destroying evidence and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

n Khirece Tucker, 21, of the 400 block of Forest, was arrested at 12:23 p.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated fleeing of police and driving while license suspended/revoked.

n Bryson Redpath, 19, of the 14000 block of East Clearview Road, was arrested at 10:01 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended/revoked.

Thefts

An employee of Wal-mart reported at 11:37 a.m. Saturday they had a shoplifter Friday night that fled before police could be contacted and the company needed to make a report of the theft.

n A employee of the Huck’s store in the 500 block of Fairfield Road reported at 5:45 p.m. Saturday a drive off in the amount of $35.12.

n A 9-year-old male reported at 10:03 a.m. Sunday the theft of two bicycles from a residence in the 900 block of South 24th Street.

n An employee of the Casey’s store in the 1400 block of Salem Road reported at 8:04 p.m. Sunday a drive off in the amount of $55.

Incidents

A man requested an officer at 1 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Ninth Street reporting he had allegedly been battered by another subject inside a business. EMS was requested for the victim, who reportedly had a laceration on his head. The victim was banned from the business.

n Two men were taken into custody following a weapons violation in the 900 block of Perkins Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday. A woman living at the residence was told two subjects were in her backyard with pistols. Police responded and saw a car leaving the area and the car’s occupants were taken into custody. A gun was located in the 300 block of Forest, according to police logs.

n A man told police at 1:42 p.m. Sunday another man pointed a gun at the victim in the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue. Officers made contact with the offending party and confiscated the weapon.

n A woman reported at 7:12 p.m. Sunday several items taken from her truck while parked in the 1700 block of Cherry.

Fire

A tenant reported smoke in an apartment building in the 600 block of South 16th at 3:24 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters report the building was evacuated. There was no active fire; food was left on a stove. Firefighters cleared the scene at 3:50 a.m., police logs state.

Incidents

A client of the Southern Thirty Adolescent Center reportedly busted out a front window to the facility in the 17000 block of North Illinois Highway 37 sometime before 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

n A caller reported at 9:41 p.m. Sunday a gun safe was pried open in a garage in the 16000 block of North Millikin Lane and two guns were stolen.

Theft

An employee of Jam Joey’s in the 700 block of West South Street in Dix reported at 4:27 p.m. Sunday a fuel drive off of $65.80.

Fire

Jefferson Fire Protection District responded to an outbuilding fire at 1:05 p.m. Saturday in the 14000 block of North County Farm Lane. Reports indicate a 24-foot trailer was destroyed in the fire. The fire was brought under control by 1:27 p.m., logs state.

Arrest

Jeffrey Axe, 44, Bonnie, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of bail bond.
