Arrests

Correction

In an arrest reported on Tuesday, Sept. 17, charges for Traser Sheeler were incorrectly stated due to a source error. Sheeler, 21, of the 3100 block of Appleton Avenue, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Sunday on charges of improper parking/stopped in the roadway, driving under the influence and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

Dennis R. Boss Jr., 40, of Salem, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Levi A. Jones, 24, of Dix, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Monday on a charge of retail theft.

n Michael W. Schnicker, 47, of Bluford, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of violation of an order of protection.

n Zachary E. Bruggen, 27, of Woodlawn, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Incidents

An employee from the United Methodist Children’s home reported at 11:45 p.m. Sunday an 18-year-old missing from the facility.

n A woman reported at 12:13 a.m. Monday someone entered her apartment in the 4000 block of Willow Springs, pouring water over a television, and stealing a bag of clothes and body wash.

n A female caller told police at 4:13 p.m. Monday her 12-year-old son was jumped by six teenagers in the alley between 22nd Street and 23rd Street. The son was on his way home from school at the time.

n A man told police at 5:31 p.m. Monday one of his properties in the 1000 block of South Sixth Street was broken into and a refrigerator was stolen.

Thefts

An employee of the 27th Street Circle K location reported at 12:19 p.m. Saturday a drive-off of $31.

n A subject reported at 3:12 p.m. Saturday the theft of a cell phone from a residence in the 1000 block of South 17th Street.

n The manager of Kroger reported at 3:27 p.m. Saturday a shoplifter was in custody; and a female shoplifter was taken into custody at 2:18 p.m. Sunday.

n A subject reported at 6:26 p.m. Sunday a cell phone was taken from a business in the 100 block of Davidson Avenue.

n A woman told police at 8:24 a.m. Monday a female suspect had stolen a purse from a business in the 900 block of South 42nd Street.

n A female caller told police at 9:11 a.m. Monday a man known to her ran into her house and stole her cell phone. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Lamar Avenue.

n A woman requested an officer at 5:47 p.m. Monday to make a theft report. The incident occurred in the unit block of Circle Drive. Details on the theft were not provided in the police logs.

Arrests

Anthony L. Garrison, 34, of South 10th Street, was arrested at 7:41 a.m. Saturday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Jerry L. McIntosh, 49, of Bradenton, Fla., was arrested at 11:02 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence.

n Carrie Ann Ellis, 31, of Stonefort, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Sunday on charges of criminal trespass to a building, theft and residential burglary.

n James D. Barrett, 35, of Texico, was arrested at 3:56 p.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Christy L. Grissom, 37, of Waltonville, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

Theft

A subject reported at 9:33 a.m. Friday someone forced entry into a pole barn on a farm in the 22000 block of North Copple Lane in Walnut Hill.

n A subject reported a stolen 4-wheeler to police at 1:38 p.m. Monday. The crime took place in the 17700 block of North Duke Lane.

n A caller notified police at 4:21 p.m. Monday of the theft of some construction material in the 16300 block of East Breezeway Road.

n A male caller told police at 8:58 p.m. Monday someone had syphoned gas out of his nephew’s car. The crime took place in the 13200 block of East Nolan Road.
