Angelo Long, 37, of the 300 block of North Sixth Street, was arrested at 10:46 a.m. Monday on a charge of violation of bail bond.

n Jeremy Jordan, 30, of the 400 block of South Fourth Street, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic battery.

n Brandon (Shane) Emrich, 38, of the 13500 block of North Dartmouth Lane, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Monday on charges of endangering a child and DUI.


A female bank employee told police at 9:56 a.m. Monday someone had tried to use a fraudulent check to open an account. The bank in question is located in the 100 block of North 10th Street.

n A man reported to police at 5:29 p.m. Monday his girlfriend had pulled a knife on him in the 100 block of Opdyke Avenue. The man was not injured.

n A woman told police at 5:31 p.m. Monday a man known to her had kicked in her front door in the 4000 block of Willow Springs.

n A woman reported to police at 2:07 a.m. Tuesday a man known to her had threatened her with a knife in the 4000 block of Willow Springs.


A female employee reported a drive-off at 8:46 a.m. Monday at a gas station in the 1800 block of South 10th Street. Police logs indicate $10 in gasoline was stolen. The alleged perpetrator told police he accidentally forgot to pay, the logs state.

n An unidentified woman told police at 12:28 p.m. Monday money had been stolen from her purse while it was in her apartment in the 4000 block of Willow Springs.

Nicole Mangan, 27, of Benton was arrested at 1:26 p.m. Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.


A woman reported to police at 9:34 p.m. Friday a home invasion had taken place at her residence in the 15800 block of East Fairfield Road. She told authorities a man unknown to her had entered her home. The perpetrator may be schizophrenic and off his medication, the police logs state.

n Police responded to a report at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday of a sex offender being in violation in the 17600 block of North Birmingham Lane in Woodlawn. The offender in question has allegedly been gone from the residence since Nov. 1.


Authorities responded to a report of a pick-up truck on fire at 8:26 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 64, westbound between Mt. Vernon and Woodlawn. Police found no one with the vehicle and it had no license plates.
