Accident on 142

A woman was taken to Crossroads Community Hospital after being involved in a car/semi-truck accident around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning on Illinois Route 142 just west of the Continental Tire North America entrance. According to officers at the scene, the semi-truck was traveling west and making a wide right turn into a field to pick up a load of corn when the driver of the car attempted to pass it on the right side, hitting the truck and going over the embankment.
