Mt. Vernon Police Department

Arrests

Donald W. Cochrane, 18, of the 200 block of North Birch Street in Belle Rive, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Thursday on charges of unlawful possession of firearm and possession of cannabis/less than 2.5 grams. Bond was set at $2,000 and Cochrane was released.

Willie E. Harris, 29, of Memphis, Tenn., was arrested at 10:28 p.m. Thursday on a charge of aggravated battery/police officer.

Marcos A. Torres, 29, of Carlinville, was arrested at 5:26 a.m. Friday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked. Bond for Torres has been set at $1,000.



Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Angus Clover, 17, of the 17000 block of North Illinois Highway 37, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. Thursday on a charge of aggravated battery/police officer.

Thefts

The sheriff’s office received a report at 9:40 a.m. Friday that a residence had been broken into in the 19900 block of East Swan Road.

Incidents

A report was made at 7:55 a.m. Friday that windows had been broken at New Home Church in Bluford.



Illinois State Police

Arrests

Quadalupe D. Velazquez, 30, of the 4200 block of Valley Forge Road, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Friday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Bond was set at $3,000 and Velazquez was released.

James T. Myles, 61, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was arrested at 6:17 a.m. Friday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked and on an in-state warrant. Bond for Myles has been set at $8,000.
