Mt. Vernon Police Department

Arrests

Michael J. Moussette, 54, of the 1000 block of South 23rd Street, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked. Bond was set at $1,000 and Moussette was released.

Mary K. Puckett, 24, of the 19100 block of East Third Street in Opdyke, was arrested at 4:34 p.m. Thursday on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, park or church. Bond for Puckett has been set at $35,000.

Adrian E. Carruth, 19, of the 12200 block of East Lakeview Road, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Thursday on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine, within 1,000 feet of a school, park or church and resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $41,000 and Carruth was released.

Eugenia A. Timothy, 17, of the 400 block of South 27th Street, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Thursday on charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $1,000 and Timothy was released.

Ronald L. Watson, 41, of Calumet City, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. Friday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,000 and Watson was released.

Incidents

A report was made at 2:17 p.m. Thursday that gunshots were heard in the 400 block of Perkins Avenue.

Police received a report at 11:17 p.m. Friday that about 10 subjects were fighting in the 500 block of South 18th Street.

Police received a report at 11:40 a.m. Saturday that someone shot out the window of a van while the person was driving in the 300 block of Jordan Street.

Thefts

A manager of Quick Clean Laundry reported to police at 2:09 p.m. Thursday that internal theft had possibly occurred.

A resident in the 800 block of Ellis Drive reported at 2:50 p.m. Thursday that their vehicle had been burglarized and items were taken.

An employee of Huck’s Travel Center reported at 5:53 p.m. Thursday that someone drove off without paying for $15 worth of fuel.

A report was made at 2:40 p.m. Friday that money was stolen out of a subject’s purse at Wal-Mart.

A manager of Walgreens reported at 3:27 p.m. Friday that someone shoplifted two watches.



Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Thefts

A resident in the 1300 block of North 11th Street reported at 5:08 p.m. Thursday that someone had been in their residence and stole a gun.

Incidents

The sheriff’s office received a report at 7:46 a.m. Friday that a mailbox was bashed overnight in the 17200 block of East Idlewood Road.

A resident in the 19600 block of North Harmony Lane reported at 10:26 a.m. Friday that their mailbox was damaged.
