Mt. Vernon Police Department

Arrests

Allan M. Schlieper, 27, of Bluford, was arrested at 10:33 a.m. Friday on a charge of contempt of court.

Harvey L. Lowery, 51, of the 14900 block of East Drivers Road in Woodlawn, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. Saturday on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.

Gary D. McMahon, 45, of the 400 block of South 22nd Street, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated assault of a correctional employee, prior domestic battery/physical contact, possession of cannabis/less than 2.5 grams and domestic violence/interfering with a report. Bond for McMahon has been set at $35,000.

James E. Scott, 28, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:33 a.m. Sunday on a charge of disorderly conduct. Bond for Scott has been set at $1,000.

Hannah M. Wachtel, 18, of the 9200 block of East Redwood Road, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Sunday on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,500 and Wachtel was released.

Marlin L. Edwards, 21, of the 2400 block of Perkins Avenue, was arrested at 4:29 p.m. Sunday on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license/permit. Bond was set at $1,000 and Edwards was released.

James M. Hicks, 18, of the 1300 block of South 12th Street, was arrested at 12:43 p.m. Monday on a charge of obstructing an officer. Hicks was released.

Elaine H. Warren, 26, of Savannah, Ga., was arrested at 1:16 p.m. Monday on a charge of retail theft/less than $150. Bond was set at $1,000 and Warren was released.

Kimberly N. Thacker, 29, of the 12400 block of East Bethel Road, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. Monday on a charge of deceptive practice/more than $150. Bond was set at $5,000 and Thacker was released.

Thefts

A report was made at 7:07 p.m. Monday that a backpack was stolen in the 600 block of Perkins Avenue.

Police received a report at 11:51 p.m. Monday that theft occurred in the 200 block of Casey Avenue.

A resident in the 1000 block of Blueberry Hill reported at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday that their residence had been broken into.

A report was made at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday that a residence was broken into in the 1700 block of South 30th Street.

Police received a report at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday that a laptop was stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of South 23rd Street.

Incidents

A report was made at 8:05 p.m. Monday that a fight was in progress near basketball courts at Veterans Park.

A resident in the 1100 block of South 13th Street reported at 8:16 p.m. Monday that someone had shot at their house with a gun.

Police received a report at 10:50 p.m. Monday that a car window had been busted out in the 1900 block of College Street.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Jerry W. Gill, 34, of the 10200 block of East Rileyville Road in Dix, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Saturday on a charge of interfering with a report of domestic violence. Bond for Gill has been set at $10,000.

Kimberly R. Carlton, 21, of the 1200 block of South 25th Street, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. Sunday on a charge of probation violation. Bond for Carlton has been set at $10,000.

Christopher R. Fowler, 36, of the 16800 block of East Ina Road, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. Monday on a charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $5,000 and Fowler was released.

Joyce E. Henry, 41, of the 800 block of White Avenue, was arrested at 12:03 p.m. Monday on a charge of contempt of court. Henry was released.

Thefts

Reports were made at 7:12 p.m. and 10:26 p.m. Monday that theft occurred in the 20300 and 20200 blocks of East Sandpiper Road in Bluford.
