In county offices, incumbent Democrat Connie Simmons filed a petition to get on the ballot for the position of county clerk; incumbent Democrat Roger Mulch filed for Jefferson County sheriff with Republican candidate Eric K. Breeze filed on Monday morning for sheriff; and incumbent Republican Debbie Elliott Marlow filed for the position of Jefferson County Treasurer.
