Melanie Spangler, president of Toys for Kids of Jefferson County, was a recent guest speaker for the Rotary West civic club. Spangler reports the program provides Christmas gifts for needy Jefferson County youth each year. Toys for Kids has been a huge success, giving out over 1,000 presents last year. Rotarian Cheryl Brown introduced the program. Rotary clubs world wide support community events like Toys for Kids.
