West Side Baptist Church

All will receive a warm welcome at West Side Baptist Church, located at 2900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Mt. Vernon.

The Rev. David Schlag is the pastor. For the week of Aug. 11, Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and we have classes for all ages.

Our church has a bus ministry. Terry Hart is the bus driver. Barbara Sandusky and Faye Buford as the bus directors. Call Barbara at 231-2177 or Terry at 315-3294 by Saturday to be picked up on Sunday.

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. Pam Adams is our pianist and Christy Lipe is the song leader.

Our pastor will bring the message at both services.

Wednesday, Aug. 14, will be the business meeting.

Our church invites you to attend a concert by Nehemiah 4:30 “A Piece of Wood,” on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.

First Baptist Church of Bonnie

First Baptist Church of Bonnie will be celebrating homecoming on Sunday.

Sunday school will meet at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30 a.m. and a homecoming dinner will follow the morning service at about 12:15 p.m.

The afternoon services will begin at 1:30 p.m. featuring Gladheart. All are welcome to worship with us!

Also mark the date of Worship Week, Sept. 8 through Sept. 11. Ken Turner and Valor III will be joining us for a week of gospel singing and Jeff Rowland will be preaching. Plan on joining us for a great time of worship. Ken Turner and Valor III deliver a gospel message in song and are recognized as one of the premier groups in gospel music.

Lighthouse Baptist Church

Brother Tom Gilliam of Wintersville, Ga., will be at Lighthouse Baptist Chruch, 13618 N. Dartmouth Lane, Aug. 11 through Aug. 14 for revival services. The revival, held Sunday through Wednesday, will start at 7 p.m. nightly. Nursery is provided and everyone is welcome.

Marlow General Baptist Church

Marlow General Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming services on Sunday, Aug. 11. Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Roger Tate bringing the message. A potluck will be served at noon with meat, bread and drinks furnished.

At 1 p.m., the Victory Boys will perform. There will be no evening worship.

The pastor of the church is Russell Smith.
