Charges filed:

Travis C. Trotter, 18, of Opdyke, was formally charged Feb. 6 with unlawful possession of liquor by a minor and unlawful possession of cannabis, more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams. The charges stem from crimes allegedly committed on Dec. 31, 2013.

n Brandon E. Engelkins, 18, of Centralia, was formally charged Feb. 6 with unlawful possession of liquor by a minor. The charge stems from a crime allegedly committed on Jan. 1.

n Howard J. Rudd, 47, of the 1200 block of Wescott Street, was formally charged Feb. 10 with aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. The charges allege on Feb. 7 Rudd intentionally strangled his girlfriend.

n Tyrone N. Washington, 37, of the 300 block of Bell Street, was formally charged Feb. 10 with burglary. The charge alleges on Feb. 7 Washington unlawfully entered a vehicle with the intent to commit theft.

Dispositions:

Criminal charges were dismissed against Travis C. Trotter, 18, of Opdyke, on Feb. 7. In exchange for the dismissal, Trotter was ordered to perform 35 hours of public service work and attend a victim impact panel.

n Criminal charges were dismissed against Brandon E. Engelkins, 18, of Centralia, on Feb. 7. In exchange for the dismissal, Engelkins was ordered to perform 35 hours of public service work and attend a victim impact panel.

n Mark S. Fitzpatrick Jr., 28, of the 1500 block of Paula Drive, pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to domestic battery. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and a fine.

n Jalen D. Davis, 19, of Belleville, pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and a fine.

n George W. Kinder, 18, of Belleville, pleaded guilty Feb. 7 to possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 12 months of supervision and a fine.
