New businesses planned

n Kent and Marinda Renshaw, 1005 through 1014 Broadway, requesting $244,244 to renovate the retail spaces and update the electrical service to those spaces;

n First United Methodist Church for 1201 Broadway and 1116 Main St., requesting $37,000 and $22,700 respectively. The funds would be used for renovations to alleviate water problems with the doors on the newer building, as well as put in Americans With Disabilities Act compliant ramps, work on the foundation and flooring. The previously used building would be demolished and a retaining wall foundation replaced expanding the park area of First United Methodist Church;

n Frank Barlotta, 815 through 819 Jordan Street, for Girolamo’s renovations to its building, requesting $323,500;

n Toni Federicci, Headpieces by Toni, 916 Main St., requesting $27,287 for building and facade renovations;

n Nick Wheeler, Once Upon A Lifetime Photography, 922 Main St., requesting $22,000 for roof work and replacement of windows; and

n The William D. and Phyllis A. Edmison Trust, requesting $168,125 for tuckpointing, new electrical service, paving and window replacement of its building at 1000 Main St.

No decisions on TIF fund allocation recommendations have been made at this time. Once decisions have been made by the Advisory Board, the applicants will be notified and the recommendations given to the City Council for consideration.
