MT. VERNON — — The Jefferson County Historical Village will hold a special Creole music program featuring musician Dennis Stroughmatt at 6:30 p.m. April 10.
Stroughmatt's lecture/concert will be called "Mussels, Moonshine, and Music: Mississippi Valley Migrant Life in the Early Twentieth Century." It will feature a style of Cajun music that is a blend of "Celtic, Canadian and Old Time sounds," states a Historical Village news release.
