MT. VERNON — The 34th Annual Mt. Vernon Conference will be held Oct. 24 and 25 at Mt. Vernon Township High School.
Over 1,500 educators are expected to attend the two-day event, which includes instructional workshops on a variety of topics. Implementing the new Illinois Common Core Standards will be a dominant theme of many of the sessions.
The conference gives educators the chance to increase their knowledge and earn continuing professional development units so they can renew their teaching credentials.
Interested parties can register ahead of time or on the days of the event. Registration takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24, and from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 25.
