MVTHS to unveil new classes

Fashion and firefighting are among the upcoming courses


MT. VERNON — Mt. Vernon Township High School will offer several new classes during the 2014-2015 school year, both for the regular curriculum and for the Area Vocational Center.

New regular school courses next year will include: a probability and statistics math class, a freshman seminar class, and an advanced placement studio art class, among others. New to the AVC next year will be a second level of computer programming and two fashion-related classes.

In addition, the AVC will begin offering a firefighting course for the 2015-2016 school year.
