MT. VERNON — Nominees are being sought by the American Heart Association for the Lifestyle Change Awards.
Co-sponsored by the AHA and Peoples National Bank, the awards are to honor area residents who have taken control of their health in areas such as weight loss, exercise habits, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and stress management. Winners and nominees will be recognized at the American Heart Association South Central Illinois Heart Walk on April 12 at Veterans Park.
To nominate an individual for an award, nomination forms are available at www.southcentralilheartwalk.org on the front page of the Heart Walk website. Or, area residents can pick up nomination forms from any Peoples National Bank location in the region. All nominations are due by April 4.
“Peoples National Bank is proud to be partnering with the American Heart Association on this project,” said Hunt Bonan, president at Peoples National Bank. “We hope there are many nominated for us to recognize at the Heart Walk. Making healthy lifestyle changes is something we want to encourage in our employees, customers and community.”
The South Central Illinois Heart Walk is sponsored by St. Mary’s Good Samaritan and will be held April 12 at Veterans Park in Mt. Vernon. Those who would like to participate in the walk may sign up at www.southcentralilheartwalk.org or by contacting Beth Walker of the American Heart Association at 217-821-2987 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
