MT. VERNON — — The Jefferson County Historical Village will host two sessions of its Day in the Life of a Prairie Child program this summer. Interested parties are encouraged to register soon because space is limited.
Children ages 6 and up are eligible to take part in the free program. The two sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12 and July 9.
As part of the program, local kids are given the chance to experience 19th Century living first-hand through a variety of games and activities.
