Bost here Thursday

State Rep. Mike Bost (R-Murphysboro) has scheduled office hours from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at his Mt. Vernon office at 200 Potomac Boulevard.

To schedule an appointment with Rep. Bost contact Eunice at 246-4600. Appointments are not necessary but are encouraged.

JC Jets fundraiser set

The Fourth Annual Gun/Cash raffle for the JC Jets independent group of disabled Olympians will be held 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Bubba’s Place in Nason. Bands will be playing and food will be available. Raffle tickets are $10 and meat hot shots are $2. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Downtown Pooch Palor, Playing with Scissors Salon and Bubba’s or at the door.

Caregivers to meet

A seminar on Caregiver Burnout will be presented from 3 to 4 p.m. Nov. 12 in the activity room at Lavender Ridge, 1400 S. 34th St., Mt. Vernon.

The featured speaker is Trisha Katt, BA caregiver advisor at Heartland Human Services.

The seminar is being presented by Caregiver Connection, a local resource/support group.

The caregiver advisor from Heartland Human Services will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 12 at C.E. Brehm Memorial Library.
