A buffet dinner, followed with music by Triple Trouble, entertained attendees for the evening. The trio began with the singing of Proud to be an American as veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces were recognized. The veterans received a standing ovation. The singing of the Mt. Vernon Loyalty was led by three former cheerleaders, Caroline Thompson Crocker, Judy Purdy Richardson and Mary Ellen Wood Martin. A special moment was classmate Jack Parker singing Frank Sinatra’s signature song, My Way.
On Sunday morning, classmates gathered at the Holiday Inn for coffee and rolls.
They had traveled from Washington, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Washington, D.C., Mississippi, Florida, Indiana and of course from all over Illinois. As those out-of-town classmates headed home, they received good-byes and wishes for safe travel.
