Charges Filed

Raymond A. Rush, 43, Mitchell, Ind., was formally charged Monday with aggravated battery. The charge alleges on July 12 the defendant struck a woman in the face at a local motel.

• Larry D. Yarbrough, 39, of the 1000 block of South 25th Street, was formally charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated domestic battery. The charges allege the defendant struck a female family member in the face, causing a nose fracture; the second count alleges he strangled the victim.

•Quentin Johnson, 28, Dahlgren, was formally charged Wednesday with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis. The charges allege on Monday the defendant had less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine; and he had between 2.5 and 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

•Stephanie D. Laughhunn, 27, Richview, was formally charged Thursday with retail theft. The charge alleges on Monday the defendant took 13 Nintendo video games from Kmart.

• Byron Liddell, 42, of the 1700 block of Lamar, was formally charged July 12 with possession of cannabis. The charge alleges on July 10 the defendant had not more than 2.5 grams of cannabis in his possession.

• Rhonda J. Gresham, 51, Texico, was formally charged July 12 with retail theft. The charge alleges the defendant took numerous items from Kmart, having a total value of less than $300.

•Cassandra M. Allain, 22, of the 900 block of Cleveland Street, was formally charged July 12 with criminal damage to property. The charge alleges on April 4 the defendant damaged a window to an apartment.

•Aileen K. Williams, 59, of the 800 block of South 23rd Street, was formally charged July 12 with telephone harassment. The charge alleges on March 9 the defendant made a call to a man with the intent to harass the victim.

• Tad A. Larson, 25, of the 15000 block of North Old Centralia Road, was formally charged July 12 with domestic battery. The charge alleges on Sept. 15, 2012, the defendant pushed a female family member.

• Thomas Williams, 25, Bonnie, was formally charged July 12 with two counts of domestic battery. The charges allege on April 24 the defendant struck a male family member in the head with a baseball bat; count two states the defendant punched a male family member in the face.

• Andrew D. Schnitker, 34, Hoyleton, was formally charged July 12 with domestic battery. The charge states on Sept. 16, 2012, the defendant pushed a female family member into a van in front of their child.

•Jesse L. Scroggins, 32, of the 800 block of South 34th Street, was formally charged July 12 with domestic battery. The charge alleges on July 8 the defendant struck a male family member with a brush.

• James K. Scroggins, 28, of the 800 block of South 34th Street, was formally charged July 8 with domestic battery. The charges alleges the defendant, with his hand, struck a male family member in the face.

Dispositions

Robert E. Hunter, 36, of the 1000 block of Wescott, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of domestic battery. He was placed on conditional discharge for 36 months.

•Stephen L. Johnson, 37, Bluford, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of theft less than $300. He was placed on conditional discharge for 30 months and given credit for 18 days served.

•Barrett L. Jones, 33, of the 800 block of South 23rd Street, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of possession of a controlled substance and failing to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to six years to the Illinois Department of Corrections to run concurrently.

• Douglas E. Lowery, 27, McLeansboro, pleaded guilty Monday to a reduced charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to two years of probation and given credit for 45 days served.

• Caleb W. Nadolski, 23, of the 1700 block of South 15th Street, pleaded guilty July 11 to a charge of aggravated domestic battery. He was sentenced to 48 months of probation and 60 days in jail.

• Gage D. Fairfield, 23, of the 15000 block of East Reef Road, pleaded guilty July 11 to a charge of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and credited with eight days served.

• Angela D. Fitzpatrick, 35, of the 300 block of Caborn, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of battery. She was placed on court supervision for two years.

• Heath A. Hughey, 41, of the 800 block of North Eighth Street, pleaded guilty July 11 to a charge of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. He was sentenced to one year conditional discharge and given credit for two days served.

• Timothy G. Noe, 36, of the 600 block of Harrison Street, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of criminal trespass to land. He was sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and given credit for 10 days served.
