First Baptist Church of Bluford

First Baptist Church is alive this week with the sound of fun, energetic, inquisitive children enjoying Vacation Bible School. They are being taught that Jesus is God’s son, the he was more than just a good man and that God had a plan for his life. Students are encouraged to always be ready to tell what they know about Jesus.

Believing that prayer activates the power of God, Prayer Warriors gather at 9 a.m. Sunday to pray for individual needs and for the life of the church.

Sunday school for all age levels is at 9:30 a.m. In addition to the regular weekly scheduled classes, First Baptist will offer a new Bible study class for adults. The class, beginning Sunday, July 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., will run for five consecutive weeks. The leader, Matt Jackson, will teach from the Agency D3 VBS adult material.

Pastor Scott Lambrich will bring the message at the 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. worship services. A nursery attended by Andrea Catron will be available.

Church Council will meet at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the parsonage. The church will hold its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, preceded by a fellowship meal at 6 p.m. Bible study is cancelled this week.
